You know, Disgruntled Wordforger (and others who think this way too), you could just not like the board and move on to something better. TrekBBS and WordForge didn't chain you, they didn't sap the life from you, neither did they force you to post there day after day. If you find illogic at a message board, and you think it's irreconcilable, you just move on. It keeps the sane from going insane, and the insane from selling Amway. I understand that a message board can become a community, it's something I hope to achieve with my own board, but if you don't like it, don't stay. The level of masochism some of you have is astonishing.

Think about it; day after day after day you talk about TrekBBS and Wordforge, as if they're haunting you. Look, you're at Troll Kingdom, something totally unique from the other two boards, and here's a chance to really let yourself have fun. But what do you do? You go back to lamenting Wordforge (or TrekBBS), and the bitterness just keeps mounting until you feel that WordForge has not only wronged you, but it has totally maligned your life. It's not worth that. No board is worth that.

In theory, I mostly agree with that. But considering the many bitch threads I became infamous for about the Enterprise forum and board politics there, I can say that it's sometimes good to have another place to vent. By posting at WF, I became more vocal and less accepting of moderator policies that I found to be completely stupid and at the same time I got to say everything I wanted to behind closed doors that would have gotten be banned a long time ago. I bitched a lot about TBBS because I *liked* the place--or more specifically, the people I'd become friends with, and was sick of trolls (usually the same one) getting away with shit. And even though I was all like "TBBS IZ T3H SUXXOrZzzZ!!!!" for a while because I saw everyone else doing it, I eventually mellowed out and remembered it's not bad (Just most of the moderator staff).

But that said, once the board policies got really unnecessarily restrictive in the forum I posted in most of the time, I just...left. I knew when enough was enough and that things just aren't going to change and that I don't enjoy myself much anymore. Everything Trek-related has been talked about to death, TNZ doesn't hold a candle to the RR or even TK's Tea Room. It's not even fun to bitch about looney ass shippers anymore, because the remaining posters have finally grown up and stopped taking every comment against their beliefs as a personal insult.

My point to DW is: Are you doing this because you care about the board and still like the place, or do you really hate it? If you do hate it, you'd be better off just pretending it doesn't exist and let go for a while.
 
Well thanks for arguing that point. I wouldnt release any ifnormation about Elwood. Id have done it by now if I wanted too. Same with letting CM use my account, My last post was way before any of this happened.

And if most hadnt jumped in against CM, and had let them work it out, I wouldnt have been involved at all.

But I dont want to go back, I mean whats there to go back for??
 
Not really, just find annoying the folks who come here to voice thoughts they can't bring them selves to say under their usual name.
