Another Rant

Fucking five minute edit time is so stupid. Try and ignore all the typos. I had a hard night last night, my vision is a little blurry.

Quincy Jones dissagrees with you. And so do I. I am talking modern MTV generation here. Its all Michael, can you not see that?

Ah. I see now. You should have explained it in that manner from the beginning.

Using the examples you cited and following the same course of reasoning, it would be safe to assume that according to the "MTV Generation", Michael Jackson was then also responsible for creating television, music channel networks, recorded programming, special effects, the horror movie as a viewing medium, and everything related to music in general.

Not to mention the art of skin bleaching and facial reconstruction.

There is nothing that Michael Jackson has done in the realm of music that has not been done before by better and more talented individuals.

Now you're just being silly Sarek. And you do realise there is NO such thing as skin bleaching, yeah?

And that Michaels medical records have been unofficially released proving he has vitiligo on 80% of his body.

Want more proof or are you so totally and utterly trapped in the media sensationalism that you refuse to accept anything.

Lets take a look shall we?

vitiligo28if.jpg

A rare chance to see through what is usally a very intense and layered make-up job. Yes, thats right, he IS actually still 20% black.

vitiligomichael21za.jpg

Clear pigmintation loss on the side of his face.

vitiligomichael34xq.jpg

Another example of how the loss of pigmintation kept on escalating through the late 80's

vitiligomichael14im.jpg

Again, on his neck....

Oh, but it must be skin bleaching even though there is no such thing as skin bleaching yes, I see it now the media said it was true so I blindly believe it even though usually I am a person who takes a little effort to research the shit I spout. Nah, its only Michael, I must be an expert on him even though all my knowledge pertaning to him is based on the media who knows nothing. Hurrah

And that's just rock. Do you want the lists for Jazz, blues, Classic, country...etc?

Yea, that's a nice list and all Sarek, but what do those people do in compared to what MJ has already done? How are they better? Michael enlisted Slash to play Guitar on Black or White, rather than do it himself, cause he never claimed to be a guitarist.

You're gonna have to provide specifics.

There is nothing that Michael Jackson has done in the realm of music that has not been done before by better and more talented individuals.

BITCH, NEVER USE MY COMIC NAME IN VAIN!!!

You still have failed to elaborate, unlike Menty who has.

Thank you, suck my cock and have a nice day. No, not really. But yea, really suck a dick.

Or Sarek, you could just name me one artist that can beat-box, sing, write number one hits, tap dance, street dance, pop-lock, glide, slide, tick, wave, cobra-slide, sidewalk, moonwalk and do robotics. An artist that composes songs and instruments through his own voice. An artist who can hit seven spins in succesion in shoes. Hell there aren't many ice skaters who can do that.

Trying to down play his talent is just idiotic. You can despise him totally but you have to give props were props are due lest you look stupid.

Michael Jackson was my favorite artitst growing up. I was a freak about Thriller. Danced and everything. No, he never touched me. Then Run-DMC came along with Raisin Hell, then G'N'R w/ Apetite For Destruction.

Shit, i got the spins.

Idol worship bordering on the fanatical can also make one blind to the truth.

The topic was about him creating the music video. Not about his "magnificent" career. I stand by what I originally said. MJ has done nothing in his videos that hasn't been done before in one form or another. He created nothing "new". He just took already established methods and formula and "re-imagined" it if it you will.

Is the guy talented? Sure, if that’s the type of music you like. But I doubt that in two hundred years he’ll be remembered along with names like Mozart and Beethoven.

Jiminy, what a little jr. high school girl bitch fight. None of these jackamoes is a "video" master. The folks BEHIND the cameras are the ones that should get the credit. The set designers, light guys, dude holding a mike, dudes running cameras, editors, EFX guys, the real dancers, etc, etc...Those are the guys who do all the work, not some drugged out wanker who shows up and lip syncs for a couple of hours. And yes, MJ is one fucked up little camper and Sarek enjoys man juice. Meh.

Oh my. That made the kinda sense that didn't. Do you not think that the CONCEPT and the PERFORMER and the WRITER and the COREOGRAPHER should get any credit?

In the case of all of Michaels videos thats him. Yeah its the 3rd grip on the right that descerves the credit

Sorry, real dancers? - What the hell are you talking about? OMG do you mean MJ lip synced on Thriller?!!?!? NO SHIT!! It can't be peformed live for a music video you goon. You doubt MJ's ability to sing then you watch him sing and dance LIVE through a two hour concert.

We all have our own thoughts about Michael eccentricities or bat shit crazy behaviour what ever way you want to slide on that, but we were not discussing that aspect, we were discussing the work itself. Go dig up that T'Bonz voodoo doll you have stashed and go poke pins in it or something.

Hanging that kid off the balcony is a little eccentric, even I admit that.

To get back on topic...

Miranda, the fact that this episode of CSI upset you so much is proof that you're not happy with yourself. You don't love yourself. Moreover you blame "society" and "the media" for presenting "unrealistic" images of beauty. Hey, sweetheart, let me clue you in on something: If people didn't want to look at thin, beautiful people, the magazines would stop featuring these people. People don't want to see an overweight chick on television, unless she's surrounded by more beautiful people.

Fitness is a sign of health and good genes. It's natural to be attracted to fit people, because we naturally want our kids to be fit and healthy. This whole "fat acceptance" movement irks me. It's not natural to be fat. You shouldn't be happy with yourself if you're overweight. That's like being happy you have cancer. "Oh well, I've got cancer, but that's ok, it's the way God made me. If you don't like me, kiss my cancer-ridden ass!" It's ludicrous.

I've had a weight issues all my life. Started when my parents went through a VERY messy divorce when I was 8, and culminated with me weighing 225 pounds at age 13. The summer before I hit high school, I realized, "Hmm....maybe the reason girls don't like me is because I am a tremendous fatass". So, I did something about it. I ate very healthily. Gave up red meat for a couple of years. Ate veggies. Most of all, I exercised. Ran, swum, played basketball, etc. The weight melted off, and aside from the "newlywed 15" I put on in 1996, I've been very vigilant. I weigh roughly the same at age 34 as I did at age 22.

You know what's a bitch? I have to eat less and less the older I get, just to maintain. Used to be, I could eat 3,000 calories a day, and as long as I was running and lifting I was fine. Now, it's more like 2,000. So I adapted. I eat more filling foods. It's not very hard when you try.

But therein lies the problem. Why try to better yourself, and be more healthy, when it's so easy to stuff your face full of empty calories. We live in a Super Size Me society, and it's only getting worse. I see the obesity epidemic in America as an indictment on our crumbling work ethic. If you're too lazy to see to your own health, why should I expect you to be diligent at work?

Miranda, I know how hard it can be to lose weight. But blaming "society" and "the media" for pushing unrealistic stereotypes is wrong.

I am the opitome of the skinny frame. I have no fat on my body. I eat FUCKING everything in sight, my fav meal at the moment is double pork steaks, mashed potatoes and cream cheese. I drink, I smoke, I hardly ever excersise anymore and hmm.. I am peckish right now!

Still:
