Have we talked about this creepy ass Valentine's Day commercial before? It's been out for a couple years, and they used it again this year.

I do not know one grown woman who would appreciate getting this monstrosity. BUT hey guys, if you get this giant ugly bear she'll totally fuck you!

THE FOUNDING FATHERS ARE ROLLING IN THEIR GRAVES. THIS IS MERCA DING IT IN ENGLISH :rwmad:

(the wingnuts are boycotting Coke)

On it's face that commercial is more accurately American then the idea that speaking English is. Way more

However

After taking into consideration what that poison (39 grams of sugar per can) does to you if you drink too much...Well, that feeling washing over me during the refrain isn't patriotism.

Those motherfuckers got some kind of balls on 'em over there at Coke.

It seems like Coke is sweeter now than it was when I was a kid. I can't even drink it. I don't like the way it sticks to my tongue and the roof of my mouth.

In California it's pretty easy to find Coke bottled in Mexico. They still use regular sugar instead of HFC. At least last time I checked. I'll have one of those once in a blue moon. The flavor is distinctly different. Probably more like what you remember from childhood.

Any minute now Ilyanna will show up and set us straight....

I remember a couple years ago, I think, they tried selling different soft drinks with "real" sugar. I don't remember if I bothered trying them or not. I usually drink iced tea or water now, anyway. I put loads of sugar in the tea, lol.

And you skip some of the chemical weirdness that way so you're probably much better off. I remember the recent real sugar nonsense. I think it was overshadowed a bit by the energy drink craze.

Whatever happened to good old-fashioned home style cocaine?

Damn right she will.... well, actually....
The classic Coke still has real sugar over here, I don't think they ever used artificial sweeteners in that. I recall when the company changed its recipe to the New Coke in '85, it vanished from the shelves pretty quickly after the consumer's shitstorm. Could very well be they started using a slightly altered recipe after that in your country when reintroducing the Classic Coke. I wouldn't know about the difference in flavor, though, my last trip to the US is too long ago to remember anything unusual.

Then there's Diet Coke, of course, but that's an abomination in and of itself so I will NOT speak of it other than giving out my heartfelt condolences if that's what your regular Coke tastes like.

Ever since The European Food Safety Authority deemed aspartame safe for human consumption way back in 12/13, I've felt much more positive about drinking Coke Zero.

It tastes kinda funny but...Well, it tastes kind of funny.

I'm a Diet Coke junkie. And I'm not happy about it.

The chemicals must be sooooo bad, because I find that I only like it from a can, and not a bottle.

yuck. YUCK. Gear, seriously, YUCK.
A person once tried to make unsuspecting me drink a glass of that liquid. My everloving bf noticed it before I did and took it from me. His comment: 'That's a declaration of war'.

The European Food Safety Authority
Them, yeah...I dealt with people working there. Do not consume Aspartame.

Eggs, hon, your taste in men is impeccable, but we really need to work on your choice of beverages.

I tried to mix rum with coke zero but that shit set me on an edge. Got drunk, couldn't sleep. Which as a drunk is my right. Good for a night out maybe, but not so great for passing out in front of the tv.

Ilyanna send us some real Coke. Mexico is too dangerous these days to stop in for a soda.

LOL, I'll gladly send a pallet or two over. Just let me check first if that may be considered an act of terrorism

Come on now. Worse than 39 grams of sugar?
Yes, probably. All I know is that if the guy who decided about Aspartame is anywhere near intellectually challenged as the guy who handled the registration procedures I worked on, then chances are it's either completely harmless - or extremely poisonous.
