I want to smell dark matter

Yeah, it's from the makers of Merlin and looks a lot like Merlin, but hey I spotted Alexander Siddig as some kind of evil king!

Good cast, good subject matter but is he supposed to be Jason of The Argonauts fame? Looks like they're playing fast and loose with mythology like Xena did.

This looks good too but I don't think Clancy Brown makes it past the first episode. :(

Yeah it's from the Merlin people so don't expect any historical or mythological accuracy at all. Like Medusa is now a hot girl.

People were saying Sleepy Hollow was suprisingly good but I'll wait until Cassie tells me what to think.

lol at the torchlit cave. Straight out of Merlin!

At 0:51 it sounded like the guy said "you have a great testicle", but I realise since this from the Merlin writers the word must have been "destiny".

It looks like a lot of money's been spent on it, but I don't think I'll stick with it very long if it has the same type of crumby plots that I put with before when Colin Morgan and ASH were there keeping it watchable.

Sleepy Hollow looks like it could be really good, even if it is from the writers of Star Trek (2009).

Sleepy Hollow was on the other day but I was in the chat so I missed it. SORRY WACKY.

Thanks for posting the Hulu link., FW I enjoyed episode 1 very much. I thought the production was excellent as well as the acting. Our male lead is quite handsome. I'm not sure this will go for the hinted at seven year run (the two witnesses bound together for seven years reference), but I'd watch it if I can find it on cable.

So yeah, it was pretty much exactly what I expected it would be. On the plus side Pythagarus wasn't as slapstick as I feared and Mark Addy was in Game Of Thrones so I can remember GOT while watching it...

The Jason guy was kind of ugly? Good body but his face was like a mangled Colin Morgan?

If all it took to kill the minotaur was stabbing it with a sword why didn't someone just do that before?

Why did he thank Bashir's daughter for the thread when really it didn't seem to help him at all?

BUT OF COURSE I'LL WATCH NEXT WEEK because maybe Medusa's introduction will save the show.

Atlantis starts Nov 23 on BBCA. I'll probably give it a shot, but I'll be so far behind you guys that it'll be like Doctor Who was a few years ago and I won't be able to discuss it very much.

I could say I was disappointed, except I wasn't expecting much from it anyway.

Kind of lost interest by about halfway through and found myself being more amused by people's comments about it on Twitter.

It seems to borrow a lot of elements from Merlin, so it feels quite similar in tone, but it doesn't have the great actors that Merlin did. I mean, Mark Addy's ok, but I never would've pictured him as Hercules and I still can't.

I will watch a few more episodes if I'm at home when they're on, but it's not the kind of thing I'd seek out on the iPlayer. Unfortunately, they've missed the chance to introduce things at a reasonable pace and make the main character relatable by having him ask common sense questions such as "how am I understanding ancient Greek?" and "No, really... how DID I get here?"

Yeah it's not a show I could really recommend. I mean I found it hard enough recommending Merlin sometimes (yeah it's really stupid BUT IT'S MERLIN SO IT'S OKAY.)

So the whole "Medusa's fate is intwined with yours!" thing is literally just the Merlin/Morgana stuff but with an annoying old woman with big eyes instead of the awesome Asshole Dragon. Otherwise the episode was slightly better than last week's.

I think the thing that annoys me the most about this is how Jason kinda sorta feels exactly like everyone else.

Like he's supposed to be from OUR WORLD but there's no weird fish-out-of-water or John Crichton like culture shock, he just goes along with it and is pretty much the same as the other characters (who aren't very interesting anyway!). Which is really boring to watch!

I think the only reason they made him from the present day is so he could say things like "Medusa? I've heard that name before!" They could at least have him ask why everyone is speaking English. Or had him bring a 3DS with him.

I thought this was the most entertaining episode yet. Which isn't really saying much, of course, but the climax was just cheesy enough to be amusing. Maybe I was just in a good mood (for once.) I enjoyed Alexander Siddig SHOUTING SOME WORDS. Jason is still the weak link. Do we really have to see his mantits every episode?
