Being Non-PC in BDSM - No Safe-words

A thought, written in more detail elsewhere, but a realization.

In order to have true Power Exchange, your submissive MUST be your equal emotionally and intellectually. The thrill is when she (or he) chooses to set aside that equality and submit. It is then that it is a true submission.

And I still detest safe words and refuse to use them.

Interesting thread. I'm almost sorry I wasn't here to participate in its heyday.

One comment must be made however. TS, I'm proud of you. I know that will sound strange, and a little elitist of me, but still I am proud. You're exploring life, sexuality, and your own version of what you need. In and of itself, that's a tall order. So many people just follow the pack regarding cultural norms for behavior. You're doing it your way and you appear to be evolving. I'm impressed. :)

Greetings to everyone else too.

Well, hey there, Cait, long time no see. Where've ya been?

Around. ;) I moved out of California, still working and writing, basically I'm a hermit out in the country now. I'm sitting here watching the snow fall right now.

Life is, well, life.

Good to see you too. What have you been up to.
