I figured it out. I just get it when I'm logged out. When I'm logged in, it's not there.

Verteron installed a hack to read PMs at EFCL. Ultimately it's what got him trolled to the point of closing the old board.

I thought he read Bastian or Calli's PMs without their permission, so one of them threatened to send Interpol after him? He got scared, so he shut down the board.

Why did he read their PMs?

Not that I had a problem with it. He owned the database, after all. We posted there knowing that. He still has the database, as far as we know. So he could read any of our PMs at any time, even now.

He was finishing his studies at the time and was under a lot of pressure. Plus I don't recall it being proven that he actually read PMs, I thought it was just that CalliBastian were harping on the fact that the hack was even there.

It was a troll, and Vert had already been over EFCL for some time. So when he gets some "official letter" that Bas cooked up talking about legal concerns, he said "fuck it".
