Miami rhymes with "my Emmy" as do 22 other words
orange rhymes with the American family name Goringe or with any combination with the word "hinge" at the end and "four inch" would do the trick as well.

yes, E, that was the interview I was referring to. I wonder if the stalking white woman of unknown (but advanced) age remark refers to a certain rabbit.. ;)
100% agreement. His sexual orientation is totally his business.

That pic on his website makes him look kinda lonely. But most likely he just choose the photo because you can't see that distinctly that his beard is getting very grey now. Plus it is ideal to put in a block of text on the right.

*sigh* yes, the happily marrried thing is a problem, indeed. Why is it that the best men are always already taken? Everyone I find attractive is happily married: Gordon, Hugh Jackman, Peter Wingfield, Jim Byrnes, Johnny Depp (ok, he's not quite my type anymore since he has so many tattoos, but he has his moments. And lovely eyes!), Andrew Robinson (can't blame him, though, after having met his wife 2 years ago) .
Oh, wait! There is one single on my list of irresistable men: Michael Dorn

It might but I don't think rabbit gets very far from her frozen ex-teacherage. I think someone else thought he was referring to her but I don't think she was so much a stalker as a loyal fan. No doubt, there were women of all ages, creeds and colors crazy about him and no doubt at least a few of them crossed the boundaries. Perhaps he should have chosen his words better. It isn't like he doesn't know how words can be misrepresented by the media and it isn't like he isn't an eloquent person.

I agree with you on that completely.

But most likely he just choose the photo because you can't see that distinctly that his beard is getting very grey now.
He is about 50 now. He's still a good looking fella. Besides, beards can be shaved off or dyed.

In that instance, it was ideal to put text blocks to the right because although his face is turned away from us, it is turned to the right, and the picture is on the left. The text block on the right is appropriate for balance. However, my remark was about the content, not the placement of the text block.

I know of a 22 year old severely disabled man, with the intellect of a 10 year old. He is bilingual, to the best of his abilities.

If he can acclimate, why can't his mother, who has been here around 12 years or so? I can barely communicate with her. Her son acts as a translator between her and I, at times. Her severely mentally disabled son.

What's wrong with this picture?

Because as I keep trying against my better judgement to explain, assimilation has fuck-all to do with desire or innate ability and much more to do with how the human brain works. Infants and children are information sponges. their brains are hardwired from birth to pick up language, nuance, meaning, and everything else in their world from the sounds they hear around them every day. This is how they learn so much so fast. Adults' brains are wired differently. As the need to assimilate massive volumes of information lessens, the brain redirects most of its energies to other tasks, such as functional skills, cognitive function and the storage of memory data. They can still force information in such as language, but the innate ability is mostly erased by adulthood making it that much harder. As the body ages further, learning new material of any kind becomes harder and harder, which is why we run into interesting generational quirks like ten-year-olds that have to program the VCR for Gramma, right after somebody explains to them what the fuck a VCR is and why Gramma doesn't own or want a DVD player.

Old people are hard wired to be set in their ways and stubborn, often stupid, to the younger generation. Can't escape it, can't avoid it, it's the road we're all on and one way or another we're all gonna grumpy old bastards bitching about these kids and their newfangled fill-in-the-blanks. And asking those same kids to explain that shit just one more time...Right, El?

Only if you're from NYC with the Orange, but ironically, not Orange County! I wonder why?

I know you are being hateful - imagine that, right? However, it is a topic worth discussing. Let me know if you are ever up for it and can leave your asshole attitude at the door.

Yeah that last was a cheap tag, but I wasn't being hateful just stoopid. Trust me when I say we're all on that road. That you're farther along it than me is an accident of timing, nothing more. My kid knows how to put shit on an IPOD. I can sorta get it right but not exactly. And fuck DVR, there's nothing on I want to watch that bad.

As for leaving my asshole attitude behind, well...if I could do that I'd probably still be married now. So don't hold your breath or anything.

I tried race baiting once. Little fuckers kept jumping off the hook.

Hey Eloisel, Daystrom is talking out his ass again, and might even be using you to entirely miss the point of the argument.

Heh.
