"I found out from Kamila herself that she is moving to Svetlana Sokolovskaya. To be honest, I was very surprised, and probably even shocked by her decision. We talked a lot with her about whether this was the right decision, because Kamila has been accustomed to one training system since childhood, let's say, to managing her mentality and controlling her training.
I tried to explain all this to Kamila that this is a rather serious step, and whether she was ready for it. Because Svetlana has a completely, diametrically opposite approach to the training process. To which Kamila gave a perfectly sensible, adult response: "I'm ready, I understand all this, I've analyzed it, and I want to go to Svetlana." This was absolutely her decision.
The fact that Svetlana Vladimirovna Sokolovskaya joined us in the arena and everything coincided with Kamila – this is probably some kind of sign from above. I'm incredibly happy about it. Undoubtedly, it attracts attention.
We treat Kamila with great love. I do everything to make her feel at home. She has her own dressing room, everyone loves her, and the kids are all, of course, happy, it's a huge motivation for them to be around, to see Kamila Valieva every day. They all, of course, watch her and want to be just like her."
