Well, it does seem that the staff post what they like as an excuse, even using the death of a member as a catalyst. I should know.

How he got involved with Wordforge -- you got that completely wrong. Those of us who have known him from that time and before know what really happened. I have no information about his status as a cop, real or imagined, and I don't much care. But I can't give much credibility to your post when there is something very much untrue in it. How can I trust any of the rest of it?

well, i only know what he told me. i wasn't there 4 years ago or 5 or however long it's been. i only know what he told me. he did not go into the details of whatever argument he had, but he did say that, at first, he didn't have any intention of staying there. so he didn't care about the lying. but then he got attached. stayed. let the lie fester.

he seems to be doing a nice job of inventing more lies, too, lately.

or maybe that's just his fibber-in-waiting, tamar.

she's been telling some pretty far-fetched stories about poor goldeneye... who, incidentally, was in wf chat the other night asking elwood if he could be allowed back in just to post his condolences in techman's memorial thread. in fact, that is all he said to elwood. elwood said no. goldeneye left it at that and left chat.

elwood is no hero. he is a sad little man that takes pleasure in lying and then playing the victim so everyone can say, "oooh, ahhhh.... he's a great man."

he has an equally sad little fan club who takes pleasure in the pretend life he's invented for himself.

I have to agree with the last two paragraphs, Elwood and his sycophants aren't looking really good. Everyone buys his "I had to ban Cheeky and GoldenEye because they're posting things that could endanger my life" line hook, line and sinker when anyone who read that blue room thread when it was up and the thread over here know that the only thing that info could do, if it is true, is embarrass him for adding some fake color to the canvas that is his internet persona. Would some bitter thug that Elwood busted really be able to track him down if GE posted a story about some random Southern LEO in some random Southern state who happened to fib about his previous work experience?

All in all this whole mess makes me miss the leadership of Borgs and Cassandra, Borgs might've made so many tweaks to the software that the board was just one sneeze away collapsing and Cass might've had her crazy times where she went off and banned rightwingers just because but at least they had thick skin and could tolerate crap from the members without having to break out the ban stick.
 
Though it is somewhat cowardly to hide behind a fake user name to post your sentiments, Caedus, I think you are largely right. I said earlier in the thread that I didn't care whether elwood's persona was a lie, and I don't. But it does appear that there was no threat beyond embarrassment in what CM posted. If he wants to ban her on that basis, fine, it's his board. But he should be honest about it, and just say, "banned because I can't stand the bitch. And oh yeah, anybody fucking her is gone, too."
 
Well, whatever else come of this whole, sorted affair, I think we can all agree: starting a relationship with someone you met online is just bad news.

Now if you'll excuse me the 14 year old I'm IMing in the other window says her parents just left for the evening, so I may be gone for awhile! :cool:

It doesn't have to be personally identifiable information to be considered private. That is why I was punished for posting a link to actormike's livejournal. It didn't have his name or address in it either.

She told portions of stories he told only her on the phone...that is private information. If he wanted to tell those stories he'd do it himself. He never told her she could discuss anything he discussed with her on the phone on the board.

She made threats and then she carried them out knowing damn well she would be banned for it. I believe Elwood because I have seen enough evidence through the years as well as him giving me no reason to doubt him about being a cop. And even if CM believes everyword of what she says, it's even more damning as that would most certainly be private information.

I wasn't there when GE was banned from chat, what, Thursday night? I dunno..I gave the reason I was told, period.

Borgs and Cassandra...LOL. Cassandra banned Joker for daring to Google her and she did the same exact thing as this with Dat (Bastian to you folks)and Calli. Borgs wanted to ban Baba for being Baba. You mean those glory days? :lol:

At least Elwood has good reason to want her off his board...look at this crap. She's bat-shit crazy and GoldenEye stated he only wants to come back to WF to clear her name. GoldenEye from what I was told did not just log off and leave, he was banned off. A kind of ban that doesn't show up in the regular chat room so it just looks like he logged off. I dunno, Listkeeper would have to explain it, that stuff is Greek to me.

So yesterday she was lying. Now she was revealing private information. Pick one story or the other and stick with it.

Never made any sense to me. Neither does this shit.
 
Ooh. Just a sidebar: I never rilly unnerstood the "Ignore" function. Oh, I've got henryhill on ignore--mostly because I don't consider the Irish human, let alone people. ;) But I learned that by putting Gagh on ignore, this thread reads a lot more smoothly.

Oh, I still get a line for each thing of spam he spews, but that's it--no 5,000 characters of filler. It's :cool: .

You misread me. I am over here because I respect Elwood's rights. Really, it is his prerogative to ban whomever he wants. And to justify it however he wants. He paid for the board; he maintains it.

But it is my prerogative to leave if I don't agree with his actions. I don't remember--I may have whipped up this account to keep a troll from registering my name, but I think I created it the last time Elwood (or the mods) rubbed me the wrong way. It's sorta like the chunk of Kryptonite that Batman keeps around but hopes he won't ever have to use. Unfortunately, I think I may need to use it. I walked away from StarTrek.com when I decided there was nothing more I could do there. I walked away from TBBS when it happened again. And I may need to shake the dust of Wordforge from my shoes over this.

And it's all so stupid. I really don't unnerstand why CM flipped out, but it put some cards into play that I'd rather hadn't been (and I don't see why they needed to be played). :shrug:
 
OH! You follow Batman!? I stopped collecting in the mid 1990s. About the time I left, he'd just come back after the whole Bane thing and was running around without any underpants. Now he's back to the classic pre-1967 uniform without the circle around the bat. How and when did that happen?
