Here's a thread about Doctor Who Series 8 for TK if you like

It would have been nice to see the train run over the tardis, but you cant have everything, besides the cgi train was a bit ropey anyway.

I agree with everyone above. This was a great episode and I hope the few that are left can hold up to it. I missed the "are you my mummy" quip! I'll have to watch again. The Matt Smith doctor did the same thing too. I got a feeling it's going to be a regular 'thing' passed on to each incarnation now. Which is cool. It'll keep you alert in each incarnation listening for it!

Having now heard the music video all the way though, I can only imagine if Freddie Mercury wasn't already dead, that would kill him.

The lady at the end who said she has chosen well, who is she? I'm sure I have seen her before buy my Doctor Who knowledge is lacking. It was a really good episode, I liked it more than any I've seen in a long time. I'm so happy the Doctor knows what Thing is!

Oh the lady in the Doctor's heaven. They haven't shown a close up of her face in a while, I suppose. Does the Doctor even know about her collecting the dead ones? I know he knows about her, but does he actually know about this place?

I don't think he knows about her either. I think this is something they're building up to as a sub plot or something for the future seasons.

Ok I'm the only one who liked it at all.

The Doctor pretty much giving up, Clara deciding the kids should all die, and the trees reset buttoning were not good points at all. But I liked the idea of trees everywhere ok? :(

It wasn't awful, its just a big idea, maybe one of the biggest trippiest ideas they have had in a while.

Maybe they overdid the little red ridding hood, bad wolves bit, and the sister coming back was cheesy as hell, but I have certainly seen worse episodes.

So far first episode not withstanding, this has been one of the most consistently good series so far.

That said, did they even have trees in the oceans?

I wondered about the oceans. I imagine branches sprawled across the surface but obviously didn't take root at the bottom. Hard to imagine how animals living in the arctic or a desert survived with their environment so drastically changed. OH LOOK OVER THERE DANNY SCARED AWAY A TIGER

It looked nice at the start. It was an interesting idea. But then they didn't actually tell much of a story with that idea? The kids were annoying. Weren't they too young for alegebra (although it's been a long time since I was in school and maybe I just don't remember ever being that young or something.) Why was a maths teacher having a sleepover in a museum anyway?

Danny looked bored for most of the episode, still has no chemistry with Clara, and defeated a tiger (which had no reason to be in the episode other than to put a tiger in the trailer) with a torch. It beat that time he did a flip over a robot anyway.

I guess it's lucky the tiger didn't go on to maul anyone else! But there seemed to be no one else in London other than the kids and the terrible mother actress on a bike. Don't millions of people live in London? Wouldn't they be out investigating?

Nelson's Column came down, animals escaped from the zoo...millions of people died in car crashes worldwide I guess? Did the trees going away at the end undo all this destruction?

I'd rather they hadn't had Missy in at all as the pointless cameos just make her less mysterious. She's gone from a guardian of the afterlife to a woman watching Doctor Who on her iPad.

Capaldi had some funny lines, but nothing would have been changed if the Doctor hadn't been in the episode. Okay he got the kids to make phone calls to tell the world not to burn down the trees...the trees that the episode had already established couldn't be burned down. Oops.

Well, I kinda thought most of the episode was sweet, just not very interesting... I suppose!

Is Missy good or evil? I wish if they were going to make her important, or something, that they'd get on with her story.

Well next week's the first part of the two part final so I imagine we'll finally learn something about her (the trailer made it look like Clara's turned evil but I'm sure that's just misleading editing.)

I think he was accompanying her on the sleepover? But yeah, why a sleepover in the museum anyway? I figure they couldn't think of anything else why they would be in London.

I agree. Seemed pretty weird that no one else was even featured as walking outside in wonderment at the sudden appearance of all the trees.

They were going to exfoliate the trees so they can burn them down.

She looks oddly familiar though. Was she in those episodes where they took Amy Pond's baby and they had that war? I forget the name of that episode/s. Funny how the doctor didn't hate soldiers then ;)

I thought the trailer made it seem like Clara was possessed by someone else. LIKE MISSY?
