Ok, hmmm...

GTC I can see. He's earned three suspensions. Can't argue with that.

Darthsikle gets perma'd for bringing up a law concerning internet behavior and some members panicked and took it seriously.

You know what that reminds me of? I think it was Voltaire who sent out one hundred messages to one hundred prominent Parisians. The message simply said "All is discovered; flee at once." Many notable citizens were never seen again.

But, Shadowfire threatens to unleash a fucking virus...which, btw, is a terroristic threat and a crime...and he gets an indefinite suspension.

Does anyone else see the lop-sided justice here?
 
From what I heard, one mod in particular went absolute ape shit in the SL. Insisted that I be permabanned. When they realized I hadn't garnered enough warnings/suspensions, this mod still insisted I get the boot.

Even in the end I made them break their own rules to get rid of me.
 
say what u will about G1223, he was the one who forwarded additional corroborating evidence against shadowfire. The guy hates me yet forwards info that proves that i wasn't lying.

That's another interesting point: registration has been turned off for...what?...a month and a half now? The techie explanation is that there will be no more new accounts until the software upgrade is finished.

A. I can't see how one affects the other.

B. Isn't that shit over with?

Short version: the admins of EI are under such a state of siege...both real and imagined...that they're killing their own community through, panicking, breaking their own rules and stifling a healthy influx of new members. It's gotten so obvious that even some of the members who were sucking admin ass three weeks ago are beginning to see it.

This would be a baaaaaaaad time for a SL leak. ;)

You guys know I think the whole trolling thing is dumber than a late-night Sci-Fi channel original movie. But I have to say that some of the folks at EI are complete idiots. I want to feel badly for them, but how can I when their reactions are so freaking hilarious?

And what's not so hilarious is how G1223 continually breaks the guidelines - pretty nearly every day - but NO ONE fucking calls him on it. I'm not sure why the mods feel sorry for him and treat him like it's okay if he breaks the rules because he has some sort of special circumstances. Is he mentally disabled, or something? Letting him off the hook as if he can't be expected to follow the same rules as everyone is is kinda insulting, if you ask me. Insulting to him, I mean.

I have no idea how he gets away with so much. Remember when he was on a rampage about the staff conspiring against rightwingers? Maybe they just don't take him serious enough to discipline him. Who knows?

I do know that EIers, by and large, deserve whatever they get. ;)
 
Just fisnished catching up over there...wow.

Its amazing. People who've gone over there and annoyed the hell out of others, and only that, are permabaned and nobody bats an eye. Yet, someone makes a threat to destroy someone's personal property, and they fall all over themselves to think of any excuse to not permaban them.

And they think were fucked up.

I’m pretty sure they had changed their story when it was mentioned that the slowdown was taking place when the server made backups.
