I like the Dr. Who forum. And in spite of Bonzie's protestations that it will be a cold day in Hell before they add any form of rep, the default on their recent migration to Xenforo does, in fact, have "likes". I plan to use the shit out of it before they can take it down to try to persuade them it is a good thing to have. But yeah. TNZ is like WF, only where you can't call someone a pedophile and tell them to kill themself.
 
Shit, I can't remember any of my accounts over there, or I'd look at that.

They're probably all flushed, anyway.

is TNZ still the hotbed it was a few years ago?

It's basically WF's Red Room only you can't call people pedophiles or tell them to kill themselves. But mostly dead and bombed on Obama Kool-Aide. Last I checked, the thread was 2 pages long mostly bemoaning how the reason people hate Obama is because they're racist and that only racists and idiots would consider voting for Trump.

I'm too superstitious to say anything either way. And as terrible a candidate as Romney was--I mean seriously, it's like the GOP figures out who has the best chance of losing and nominates them--I still can't believe Obama was reelected. No President since FDR has been reelected with such a terrible economy. And the election was like, a couple weeks after terrorist tortured and killed our Ambassador to Libya--in a political situation we helped create by overthrowing Khadaffi. And then they covered it up. On top of all the other scandals and cover-ups ranging from selling guns to Mexican gangs in an attempt to pass more gun laws in the US to, shit, I'm numb. I can't even remember what asshattery he managed during his first term.
 
He did some cool things, but some bad things too, just like every other president. Printed 12 bilion in credit card debt which the banks sucked up like candy (bad) sold our country to the highest corporate bidder (TPP) while NAFTA is just about to show what its teeth look like (think keystone pipeline, bad) created a step towards single payer insurance (good) killed bin-laden (good) Stopped the bleeding of cash that Clinton started from abolishing Glass-Steagal (good) got some jobs back (13 percent reduction in what we recognize as unemployment). Many other bad and good examples abound. He'll be remembered functionally in his legacy, despite the party of NO. We won't get into that, we'll just vote them out in november.
 
It's funny. Dubya gets the blame for destroying the economy. Yet, in spite of inheriting a recession himself, and escalating gas prices, and getting the worst terrorist attack on American dumped on him early in his career, things went pretty well with Bush in charge for the bulk of his Administration. Then around, oh... 2007, the Democrats took over the legislature. And the economy tanked.

On the other side of the coin, Obama got 2 terms, where the economy limped on on the brink of a double dip recession without a recovery. Then something amazing happened. The GOP retook full control of the legislature. And the economy started to turn around and improve.

But I'm sure that's just a coincidence. :/
 
No it was Clinton. Guess who's going to re-instate it once they're elected? (Hint: not the other Clinton)

None of it has anything at all to do with who's sitting in the oval office.
