Leftover Blues

Eggs Mayonnaise

All In With The Nuts
How the fuck does one successfully reheat a meatball sub?

Of course microwaves are out of the question since it will be a soggy mess with the bread 10x as hot as the insides. So I used my toaster oven. But I didn't want the bread to get rock hard, so I double-wrapped it in foil.

After about 10 minutes at 250, I opened them up, and the bread was perfect, but the meatballs were cold. So I put them back in for another 7 minutes, this time with the sub open in the foil. The meatballs got warm but the bread got over-crunchy.

Someone teach this confirmed bachelor how to cook!

(I'd have put this in the Tea Room but then Hambil wouldn't reply...)

I thought of that after I posted.

One hitch in that plan is that I risk tearing the bread apart since it all fused together in the fridge. But it seems like a plan...

Every corner of the country has a different name for it.

Subs is short for submarine sandwiches. See also grinder, hoagie, and wedge.
