Luke Cage

The last I watched was episode 3, I think. It started to pick up, but i e been distracted by more engaging shows. I'll go back to it eventually.

The thing is, they really design these Netflix shows to be binge-watched so if you try to watch them like a "normal" show they probably don't work? (I have no life so just binge-watch them all. Then again something like Black Mirror would be fine to watch in a non-binge-watchy way.)

This is actually a really fun trailer (and I'm happy Claire's back!) but this could be literally all the fun bits and in the actual season they're spread out over 13 hours...

Saw the 1st episode, a bit too slow for my liking, but enough there to make me keep watching.

It continues to look better than season one but I continue to prepare myself for really weird pacing issues.

I watched the 1st one. It was a bit slow to get started, but looks like it will be good.

You probably don't have to watch the second half of season one. Basically everything once Diamondback shows up is pretty dumb and doesn't seem like it's going to have any effect on season two (thought I'm far from finished it yet so I don't know, maybe Diamondback will show back up soon and kill everyone.)

I've enjoyed season two so far (with the usual "slow pace, why not do some standalone episodes" complaints.) Mild spoilers: In the opening episode, when they did another "Luke gets shot and just stands there then effortlessly beats up the bad guys" scene I was like "oh not this again" but there's actually a point to it as it turns out Luke's gotten arrogant and isn't actualy any good at fighting (because he hasn't had to be) so he gets his ass kicked by Bushmaster. And I like Bushmaster and his crazy eyes and all the Jamaican stuff. Misty's a bit annoying sometimes though, but I did like her scene with Colleen. So yeah, hope it keeps up the quialty and doesn't make spectacularly bad story choices later in the season.

Just finished episode 2. The story is still kinda slow but I loved the music. Gary Clark Jr is awesome.

Ep 3 - MISTY AND COLLEEN. I bet Danny shows up with a bionic arm soon.

I liked the 4th episode. The voodoo Bushmaster guy is scary in a different kind of way. Mariah's daughter is lovely. The music, once again, was great. They've got the feeling in the club just right. Christone Ingram, the big guy playing in the club, has an album coming out soon.

I thought Luke got his ass beat by Bushmaster because Bushmaster studied his moves in that one scene in episode 3 (which is the last episode I watched).
