IT WAS GOOD.

I wish this show wasn't on Sunday nights, because The Good Wife is on Sunday night... WHICH would be perfect if The Good Wife wasn't on CBS OR if CBS didn't air football games on Sunday. Football always goes overtime :rwmad: ANYWAY, I missed the first 15 minutes of Masters of Sex because The Good Wife was 15 minutes late starting because of FOOTBALL.

For some ungodly reason Showtime doesn't show a repeat of the episode until midnight, and I can't stay up that late. Hopefully they show repeats later in the week, and then I can just wait or something. Fuck. All the other Showtime original series are repeated over and over the night they first air.
 
I use the built-in DVR on my Time Warner cable box - Sunday nights are a bitch.

Now that so many shows are available On Demand, I decide which ones A) are the ones I HAVE TO SEE NOW OMG and then which ones will be harder to watch later on. Most everything will be available in a couple of days On Demand, but I don't want to wait that long with some shows because I'll want to TALK ABOUT THEM on the INTERNETS right after.

Like you it PISSES ME OFF that football delays The Good Wife, so I have to watch that one live since the DVR won't pick up on the delayed start time. I'll watch Once Upon a Time live while waiting for it, and even though I'm just as hooked on Revenge as any show on Sunday, I DVRd that because of having to watch Good Wife live/delayed. I decided to wait and watch the midnight rerun of the Breaking Bad finale since THEY'RE ALL ON AT 9 JESUS FUCK but I DVRd that airing too in case I dozed off at midnight.

I only watch Amazing Race during commercials for other shows, and I can always catch up with the Fox comedies and any HBO shows On Demand. I'm sort of watching Boardwalk Empire but I don't get worked up if I have to wait days to catch the latest ep.

I guess I'll watch Masters of Sex at some point, but it seems like a really blatant WE'RE DOING THIS SHOW BECAUSE THE NETWORKS CAN'T HAHA SEE THE NEKKID SEX BODIES BUT REALLY IT'S QUALITY YO! etc. etc. kind of show. Is it really compelling other than all the VERY DEEP AND MEANINGFUL sex scenes?

I don't watch Mentalist, and I couldn't give a toss about that new "Betrayal" show. It's in Pan Am's death slot so it won't be around long.
 
YES, I thought they did a good job making the study of sex interesting, and also how scandalous Masters was for even wanting to do it. Some people are even saying the pilot was boring! I guess they were hoping for more sexy sex scenes.
 
I watched the first episode! It was pretty good! Lizzy Caplan was good! Michael Sheen's character was such a robot that it was hard to call him "good" but I'm sure he'll show more emotions as it goes on. I think the only problem is I'll keep comparing it to Mad Men in my brain and it wasn't as good as Mad Men (but few things are!)
 
The second episode was better than the pilot, so I think you'll continue to like it. I never watched Mad Men, so I don't have the problem of comparing the shows.

EVERYONE SMOKES!(I've heard that about Mad Men too).
 
The part where Lizzy Caplan hugged the black woman in the hospital I was thinking some snooty white person would make a face but they didn't.
 
The second episode was okay, but I hate the scenes with the Asshole Doctor (the one who hit Lizzy the previous week.) I know he's SUPPOSED to be an asshole but he's so one-dimensional and boring.
 
The third episode didn't always hold my interest. The actual sex experiment scenes are a bit repetitive, I guess? It was okay, maybe I should have just PAID MORE ATTENTION. Still hate Asshole Doctor (for his poor acting, not because he's a heel character.)
 
I just watched Thank You for Coming. The one with her ex husband. It was pretty good, it's not super exciting, but I like how Masters is becoming more interested in Johnson. Sneaky perv!
 
CASSIE, just wanted to say that I'm STILL watching this tv show OKAY. The girl Evil Doctor nearly shagged had nice breasts.
 
I'm still watching it too. I missed the last one because football made The Good Wife an hour late AGAIN, but it will repeat several times this week and I'll get caught up. I think I'm one episode ahead of you, but once I see the latest ep I will be two ahead. OR SOMETHING. It's a good show. It's starting to pick up a bit after getting off to a kind of slow start.
 
CASSIE I've watched the whole first season now it's a good show I'll watch season two whenever it's on! I still don't trust Evil Doctor even when he's being nice. I feel bad for Libby because she's nice and tall and deserves a better husband. Lizzy Caplan can sing!
 
I think evil doctor is probably going to be out of the picture soon! I hope he doesn't hit Virginia again :rwmad:
