Mine Field Celebrity Deathday Thread

Dreading this day for a long time, but it wasn't a shock since she had been battling multiple sclerosis for many years.

I got to see her live on stage in the early 2000s -- she and Julianna Margulies appeared in The Vagina Monologues for several weeks in New York. Even back then, she had already lost most of the use of one hand...

So sweet, beautiful, goofy, aloof, hilarious -- I remember her all the way back to being a featured player on the Sonny & Cher variety show.

And of course, Trekkies knew her as Roberta Lincoln in the TOS episode Assignment: Earth.

I always thought after rewatching the episode after friends that she was the Phoebe of her generation. And eventually they even made her, Phoebe's mum in the show.

Tond Todd 69, Actor, Sandman, Kurn, any tall guy with a gravelly voice.
He was one of the all-time great character actors and was in so, so many things. I had to go and browse his IMDb when I found out this morning just to remind myself of some of his more obscure roles, and he has ELEVEN upcoming roles in TV, Movies and games that are still in production.

What an absolute shit ending to a truly shit week. R.I.P.

He was in Trek as a few characters, Iconic voice.

'The Visitor' is one of the all time great episodes and wouldn't have been without his performance.

The fact that Tony didn't get an Emmy for this is a crime. Show me who made a more convincing performance that year (consider how hard it is to play the older version of an established character). I feel the same way about SMG and The Body. The awards are meaningless.

"Just a few minutes ago I had to stop myself from killing Commander Riker."

I always thought his Voyager episode was the best Hirogen episode too.

(Completely off topic: Patrick Stewart's "later, Data!" line there is better delivered than anything he did in 3 seasons of Picard, lol.)
