Could you register as a new member, log into that, then log out of that, then log back in as yourself?
 
No, because it doesn't recognize me as fully logged out, but it treats me like I am. So i can't access the Admin CP, nor can I even see the board.

I could (theoretically) log in from another computer, but then I would have to do everything from that computer, so it needs to be one that I have regular access to.

My new laptop is scheduled to arrive in a week and a half.
 
Yeah, I tried to get on the site with my nice new laptop, and I have the same "in limbo" problem that I have with my work computer, so I can't get in.

I'm going to have to do a fresh install with an imported backup, which may be from, oh, March. And I can't do it right away. Sigh.
 
There is another possible option, I could try and log on as you, see if I can create another admin account for you to log on with.

Worse that could happen is it just logs me out too until you fix the board in a few weeks.
 
Is there a way I could log you out? Fuck it has been ages since I've even looked at the admin cp of any board.
 
That's a possibility Cassie. USE YOUR POWERS! I can't tell you the exact command or area to use, but if you can get into the CP and then go to Users and call up my page, maybe you can do something.

Rich, if you log out to try and log in as me, you may not be able to get back into the board as yourself. I'd rather keep as many active posters as possible so that I can get reports on the board's health, lol.

My desktop PC finally died after seven and a half years today. It's okay because I have a good laptop and all my important (female celebrity) files backed up, but it means I'll never be able to post on REFCL ever again. :(
