Leonard Nimoy 1931-2015

Hi all, as you all know, my Grandpa passed away this morning at 8:40 from end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He was an extraordinary man, husband, grandfather, brother, actor, author-the list goes on- and friend. Thank you for the warm condolences. May you all LLAP. - Dani

He grew up next to my dad on Blue Hill Ave in West Roxbury MA (also known as the West End in Boston) They often walked to school together. My dad said he had normal ears though growing up.

I know we can all be in little echo chambers on social media, but pretty much every tweet and Facebook post I saw for a few hours today was about him, and that was really nice to see.
 
yeah, the twitter trolls are after him too. This has been going on since yesterday .
 
BTW, america is 3000 miles across, where Shatner is now and where the funeral is, would be like flying from the UK to america, its a 9 hour flight.

Unless the president can put him in the back seat of an F15, he isnt going to make it on time.

And in case anyone forgets, he is also 83.
