BRYAN DANIELSON WINS BRACKET OF HONOR CHAMPIONSHIP It was a tough road to the title for Danielson, who beat Colt Cabana, Austin Aries, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Punk.
Thanks to everyone who voted in the Bracket of Honor. .
Ring of Honor is pleased to announce that seven-time former world champion Angelina Love of The Allure has signed a new contract to remain with the company. Love, who is nearing her 20th anniversary in professional wrestling, continues to perform at a high level. Since joining ROH last year, Love has been a valuable addition to the women’s division because of her recognizability and experience. “I am extremely happy to have re-signed with Ring Of Honor,” Love said. “I’m very happy working here and look forward to continuing to take the women’s division to new heights this year and beyond. The Allüre will continue to dominate. Just watch.” The Toronto native burst onto the scene in ROH last April when she and longtime associate Velvet Sky made a surprise appearance at G1 Supercard before a sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden. The Allure -- Love, Sky and ROH stalwart Mandy Leon -- made an immediate impact. Love went on to win ROH’s women’s world championship in September. Before coming to ROH, Love won six world titles and wrestled all over the U.S. as well as Europe and Mexico.
RIC FLAIR, OTHER LEGENDS COME TO HONORCLUB; SERENA DEEB JOIN 'ROHSTRONG PODCAST'
Did you know that Ric Flair has stepped into an ROH ring? How about "The Ugandan Giant" Kamala and Bushwhacker Luke?
Believe it or not, all three of the legends appeared on ROH shows in 2009. Flair’s appearance and Kamala and Luke’s matches in ROH have been added to HonorClub for Fresh 50 Friday. Flair sat ringside for the match between then-ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness and Brent Albright at the aptly named Stylin’ and Profilin event. Of course, “The Nature Boy” ended up getting in the ring and dishing out a few chops. Kamala faced Bobby Dempsey at that year’s Supercard of Honor, while Luke took on Rhett Titus at Take No Prisoners. The matches weren’t five-star classics, but they put smiles on faces, as the saying goes. There are plenty of outstanding matches included in this week’s Fresh 50 Friday, such as
Bryan Danielson vs. Kenny Omega vs. Claudio Castagnoli in a three-way match, McGuinness vs. KENTA, and KENTA and El Generico vs. McGuinness and Davey Richards, to name a few.
HOW MANY NEW CHAMPIONS WILL BE CROWNED AT FINAL BATTLE? ROH’s biggest pay-per-view of the year, kicks off with Final Battle Hour One, which airs for free from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern on Best on the Planet, STIRR City, Facebook and YouTube. The entire, four-hour Final Battle broadcast will be available on pay-per-view, HonorClub and FITE.
A DOSE OF FINAL BATTLE PREDICTIONS AND ANALYSIS
Ring of Honor's Final Battle pay-per-view this Friday is a four-hour show and the first hour is free! It’s ROH’s biggest event of the year and I’m so excited about this card.
