YEAH they packed a lot in there. Really great lightsaber duel, Kanan and Ezra being cool together, the start with Sabine referencing that short where she first appeared, Chopper showing up to save the day and whistling his own fanfare...THEY FULCRUN WASN'T EZRA'S MUM LIKE I KIND OF THOUGHT SHE MIGHT BE and oh hi Darth Vader.

The new episode was...okay. The animation was really good. It felt like they spent too long on the "hunting the sandworm" bit? The Darth Vader two-parter would have been a much better season opener. I mean I guess technically it was the season opener but since it was on three months ago it's hard to think of it as being part of this season. OF COURSE I did like seeing it three months early so I'm not complaining really.

This week's was pretty good. But not great? I mean after all the build up about SMG's character she was just another pretty normal Inquisitor. And maybe we're supposed to think she's Barriss but she can't be because Barriss was Australian. Also Zeb's a bit annoying. They need to tone down the comedy with him or something.

I liked this episode even though it was very similar to Rise of the Old Masters from last year. I thought SMG was good.
