Strange New Worlds season 2

On the topic of star trek I had a comment deleted on a star trek Facebook page for saying the book in a peice of the action was based on the bible.

The bible is better in the original Klingon, or so I hear.

I liked this episode. I was not sure how I would given how terribly Voyager did an episode where B'Elanna Torres got her Klingon DNA taken out.

This episode was far better then that other one.

Loved this one and Ethan Peck totally sold it.
I will admit that Peck did a creditable job. Was still thrown entirely out of the story when three women basically attempted to teach Spock how to be who he had been for his whole life... and did so by basically mocking him. That... was aggressively stupid. Seriously. If regular stupid is "Duh..." that was, "DURRR, MOTHER FUCKER!!!"

That's the kind of stupid that scene was.

Another good excuse to have new Kirk around, wish he didn't sound like Christopher Walken so much.

George Kirk on the Kelvin is cannon now I guess.

George Kirk on the Kelvin has been canon since the movie where he first appeared. He was already on the Kelvin before the timeline was altered.

It was a good character episode for Uhura and with some good moments for others too. Nice to have Hemmer appearing again and being remembered. But the plot was literally just that TNG episode where Troi was having dreams about floating through space.

I just can't think of anyone but Jim Carrey when I see Paul Wesley. And he looks too old to be the youngest first officer in Starfleet (he's five years older than Shatner was in TOS season one!) But still looks younger than 22 year old Jack Crusher.

Parodies aren't canonical.

I liked this episode. It was a good episode for Uhura (the actress who plays her did a good job). I liked the Jim/Sam Kirk stuff. Sam clearly has some daddy issues and a chip on his shoulder and was just kinda a dick. Like grow a pair and be not be an ass about your brother doing well in his career (he was slightly nicer at the end).

I liked Kirk in this episode, it was probably his best appearance so far.

What age were Sam Kirk's kids in that episode of TOS where he died? I can't imagine they've already been born and just not mentioned...

(I know, they can change events around a bit, IT'S FINE.)

James did say he didn't see a lot of his father because he was off on a spaceship saving people, Sam is just following in his footsteps of his kids are at home.

Just watched the last episode and see the LD episode is coming out today! Noice.

I found the brother stuff totally believable.
