It might be another one of those mysterious technoglitches, like the one that locked mr. gturner in your Violet Room without granting him actual access to it. I'm sure either Volpone or Ramen can confirm this when they're around.

Heck, a half dozen people who didn't get banned just left.

Alexa says Wordforge's visits are down 32%. Time per visit is down 38%. Bounces are up 23%.
 
Basically, WF staff has rendered the board so toxic that those they ban don't even want to come back when the bans are lifted. This, of course, will not be cause for introspection among staff members, nothing will change, and the board will continue to hemorrhage membership until it's just the four co-owners talking to themselves. Possibly teh babe returns will stick around posting fake celebrity sex scandal threads.

Still, they always have the option to reverse course; they're not smart enough to do that.
 
Reversing course won't work because they've shown they are crazy drivers with a propensity to head off a cliff.

At most they would just go about creating an echo chamber in a somewhat different way. The core problem of liberal intolerance of dissent or debate would remain, and of course Trump would still be President. They've built a bubble and won't have it popped.
 
Oh, I know. I'm just saying they have the option. What that would look like in practice is anyone's guess. Someone would have to offer to buy them all out, but at this point, I can't imagine who would see any value in the board to compel an offer. I give Wordforge another year, tops.
 
It would be like asking Air America or that Gore cable network he sold to Al Jazeera to offer balanced, unbiased reporting. It could keep them from going under, but they'd rather go out of business than admit their plan failed.

There's a leftie talk station here, KBOO. Or there was. I don't know if they're around anymore. Really don't care. But a few years ago they fired their only live local talent because no one was tuning it; they weren't making any money--in the People's Republic of Portland. Turns out Lefties just weren't that excited to be validated and they preferred to tune into the conservative talk radio shows to be shocked and appalled by how backwards and deplorable conservatives are.
