That may well have worked before but if I'm reading right, it sounds like the members are going to vote on a permaban. If the members do vote in a permaban (which from the pissed off posts I'm seeing looks likely), then your point in moot, it will be a membership decision, not just mods or admins acting on their own.

Darth, from what I've seen of your posts over there, it seems the place is growing on ya (like fungus) ;)
 
The thing is, ExIsle suits all of them except when they want to troll. Each of them can be highly articulate and wonderful debaters and interesting posters on many topics. It just seems the trolling does something for them.

That's cool, I've got no problem with that but if I'm gonna troll I want to do it at a place that expects that from me. If I want to debate something, I have boards I like to go to for that as well. I keep them seperated is the difference. I troll at places where it's a fair fight. If I give someone shit and they don't like it, they can tell me to fuck off. Places like EI aren't any fun because it's like kicking a cripple.

You really aren't very bright, are you?

I have been on both boards for almost the same amount of time and registered on both for the same reason. As posters from the board I consider myself as actually belonging to overlap heavily with the membership on EI, I started posting more on EI as the membership dwindled on my home board.

The trolling action late last summer brought me back over to TK to see what the deal was. At first I had the attitude these people were two-faced scum. But, after hanging out with them, I've found different aspects of these people and I enjoy their company. Yes, some of them are mostly interested in trolling other boards. But, boards with experienced leadership deal with trolls far better than what we've seen at EI. What happened at EI was people who were not trolls got caught up in the mods/admins lashing out trying to resolve their troll problem and other posters rallying around to make sure they aren't caught up in it either. A prime example of this is G1223 who used to be the biggest complainer that the mods/admins had him on a short list to abuse. Now he is the biggest supporter of someone being branded and bullied. Then there is that bastard A Karas who jumps into every thread to point fingers and cheer on punishing others but cries foul big time when he is guilty of the same crimes and someone points that out to him. I don't like this McCarthyism.

I have not defended clear trolling. My complaint is and has always been - even before the TKers came to visit last summer - with the rules not being applied equally to everyone. Perhaps you see it as fair to allow some the right to abuse others while suspending others for equal or lesser offenses. I don't.

I left EI for my own reasons - and if you've read any of my posts or threads you should know that. I've refrained from posting there because I have been very upset with some things that have happened. Unfortunately, my posts get convoluted with other complaints - some TK related, some not - and my complaints are not given the consideration I feel they deserve. That again is on the mods/admins - not what the TKers are doing - because there will always be posters on any board that will go against the grain sometimes. You don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Something I would point out to you Utaraptor - you are on this board and by your logic you must be a troll yourself. Difference between you and me, if I wanted to be a troll I'd be damned good at it whereas the best you can do is stand around calling people trolls thinking that is an insult. And, I'd kick your stupid ass to the curb with you fully knowing who I am, without a doubt, and not hiding behind a different handle so I could be the two-faced prick you are.
