The Walking Dead season 5

So how many zombies were dead in the church *before* the fire truck showed up? I don't conjecture on scenes that are only implied.

Exactly. Could it be possible that it was an error in direction? That they :gasp: forgot about all the zombies?

:D

EDIT: the prequel to next season may or may not be in the exact same time frame, hence all the dead zombies.

Could be good?

Well, the first episode should be (even if they're going on about Bayeth), but then it'll be slow and boring until the last episode of the Smallville.

I like how Daryl wouldn't let that opossum go during his "interview". It was kind of creepy and made sense at the same time.

I'm curious to know if what Rick said at the end about taking the place over if it didn't turn out in their favor followed along with the books or not. My husband wouldn't tell me - keeping his promise not to give me any spoilers. :)

I like where it's going now. I know something awful is bound to happen eventually and we'll be watching those houses burn and all the new characters get killed, but I like that there seems to be at least one genuine attempt to keep society going.

The only thing I can't figure out is whether the town is as deserted as it looks, or if they've just been cheap hiring extras. It only looked like there were about ten people.

In the comics there are a hell of a lot more characters in the town, like sixty or so, but there are also a lot of people not dead yet that are long gone in the tv show. Like Andrea and Tyreese, etc. I'd guess they pare down the characters more for screen time as opposed to just frugality, but a lot of people end up doing double duty that way. I wonder if that new blond Jessie will take the place of Andrea, since her comic arc wasn't all that important. I could see hubby and the Mayor's kid lining up some internal opposition before the Rick crew whoops their asses. Right now, purely on speculation, I'm gonna say the new girl outsider will be a love interest for Carl that turns out to be a spy for Negan next year, the blond is the new Andrea, Morgan has the hidden gun, and the climax will be an internal blowup that turns into fighting off zombie hordes and/or outsiders. Lot of ways to go with it I guess but I see next season being a Negan season, with all the clues left this year.

One main question I have is whether or not they'll be able to introduce dude with the tiger. Story wise it would be awesome, I just don't know if they can logistically make it work with effects etc.

They explained that on Talking Dead after the show. I was fading in and out of sleep but something about using a real community where they are using the actual residents and are building houses for the scenes, had to build the fence and all that good shit.

Wasn't there a line in the show about them not wanting to crowd the newbies? I got the impression there were supposed to be more people in the other houses (or I just thought that because I've read the comics.)

It's funny becuase the Governor's town had the opposite problem: they gave a number of people who were supposed to live there but there always seemed to be far more extras around than there should have been (until they all conveniently died.)

I don't think they'll do tiger guy (I guess this is a spoiler sorry.)

I think the teenage girl could take the place of Sophia as she's still alive in the comic but long dead on the show. Or she could just be a spy.

I noticed the 'contradiction' about giving them some space and time to acclimate too. Interviews right away and job assignments too. That's not much time for acclimation for feral dogs!

Maybe Enid has the gun.

It's about time Carl had someone his age to relate to.
