I don't watch the show, but I watched the episode this morning after seeing all the hoopla.
Jesus, tell me this was just a bad episode and that the show usually has more going for it. This was a slow-motion torture porn flick.

The fact that things actually happened made it good by Walking Dead terms.
It was very torture porn (although I don't really like that term), with a lot of shots of anguished faces to show JUST HOW DRAMATIC AND BAD THIS ALL IS.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan was great, though. I kind of want him to win because he's a much more interesting character than anyone else on the show!

It was a "wait six months to see which if your favourite characters in brutally murdered!" cliffhanger. I guess they thought they had to be as graphic as possible to satisfy the people who've been waiting to see their favourite character be brutally murdered.
(And of course it's completely ridiculous that they can literally show someone's brain beaten out but not a naked bum or someone saying "fuck.")

Yes, I was actually more surprised when Negan said "shit" than when he bashed in the skull of a beloved character (and also Abraham).

I had a dream last night I was in The Walking Dead world (except I didn't see any zombies in the whole dream?) and some group kidnapped my group but they gave us nice chicken to eat and I decided to betray my own group and join this group. They should steal this plot for the show.
