Things you love about Star Trek

TNG's "Up the Long Ladder" is kind of a riot. Between the weird flirtation between Worf and Pulaski, the various Irish stereotypes, Picard bowing to the absurd, Riker being a horndog, and the whole clone subplot it's probably peak early TNG strangeness. I love it.

He would have gone mad if she played the harp!

I watched the end of that episode the other day, and I had not noticed that the women were expected to make babies for at least 3 men, and then the hot Irish lady was like ooh is he rich? And just accepted her fate as a baby machine for the uppity weirdos.

Yeah that episode was a whats what of Irish caricatures and offensive stigmas. It would have been like having an episode of Polish immigrants and talking about how they were always drunk, were putting screen doors on submarines (or starships I guess) and were all pickpockets while calling them all Polacks or the kielbasi posse

Remember when proto-Quark and Squiggy were the Ferengi antagonists in TNG s02e21 "Peak Performance"? Quark should have been Lenny but Lenny was an evil clown later in Voyager I think. They should have thrown Laverne and Shirley in there somewhere too. Oh shit, Laverne and Shirley should have been the Duras Sisters!

In the '80s, Brent Spiner and George Wendt should've played Laurel and Hardy.

When Mirror Marlena Moreau is telling Kirk she's been oiling her traps I can't bet this picture of a metal clamping rabbit trap out of my head. It sorta fits.
