Who else here watches Vikings? I think Tisiphone does. ALSO I think there's already a Vikings thread but i am already typing this and I'M NOT STOPPING OKAY?

Anyway, Vikings is really fucking good. Everyone should watch it. :rwmad:

Didn't Fuddlemiff see this series happening in a crystal ball?

My kids are watching it and loving it. They have a man in South Korea that gives them free downloads and they watch it on their tablets. I worry about the modern world.
 
I'm not sure what type of shows you like, Dr Dave (besides Star Trek and The West wing), so I don't know if you'd like it, but I know Fuddlemiff would like it. WE ARE PEAS AND CARROTS about tv shows. CaptainWacky would probably like it but he is not going to watch it just to SPITE me :rwmad:
 
HEADVOID, ask your kids what they think about Floki turning against Ragnar. I wonder if he's secretly not turning against Ragnar and is really collecting information for Ragnar. King Horik needs to DIE :rwmad:

Did I? It sounds like something I'd predict, along with The Thing: The Series and Karl Pilkington: Under the Knife (where he's given a series of plastic surgery operations against his will).

When you say a man's giving your kids tv shows, do you mean a dodgy app? Asking for a friend.

I like a variety of stuff, just kinda depends on the show.

I seem to not be huge fans of BBC stuff sometimes. Not that I dislike it, but I don't go all nutty like some of my fellow Americans do.
 
Well, I only watch two BBC shows, Doctor Who and Orphan Black. Orphan Black is AWESOME.
 
Lots and lots of violence... one of my favorite shows. Ragnar is definitely a flawed hero, there has been some internet uproar over the fact that he raped his wife... because apparently a Viking historical figure is being held to the same standards we try to have today. Idiots. Anyway, his first wife is a shield maiden and she kicks ass. The grown son is very nice to look at as well. The blood eagle episode was a little hard to watch though.

The finale was fantastic. I can't wait until next season.
 
I wish they had been more straightforward with the story. I kinda guess Floki wasn't really going to betray Ragnar when Ragnar questioned his loyalty in front of Horick. It was something about the way they looked at each other. If they'd let the audience in on their plans I think it would have been more interesting. Maybe TV shows have used misdirection a few too many times and I'd just prefer something a bit different.

The thing with the mushrooms was a bit confusing. I'm beginning to think he gave Rollo different mushrooms than Torstein, since they made Torstein vomit... what did they do to Rollo? Give him strength to get up and defend himself?
 
Not a bad episode. They've telescoped history a little. In the series, it takes place during the reign of Charlemaigne. Except after charlemaigne, there was another group, terrorising Europe, the Lombards.
