CREEPY... fuck I can't wait for this show to come back.

WHO'S WATCHING IT?

Princess Kwenthrith is gonna cause Ragnar some problems, IMO.

I'm watching, Cassie. Yeah I picked up on the jealousy too. She's the bitch who broke up his marriage so she's fretting a little payback.

What's wrong with the baby that repulses Ragnar? Again, I feel I missed something.

The baby was born deformed, his legs are fucked up. The baby is Ivar the Boneless, I think. I don't know if they named him Ivar, though... the real Ragnar had a son named Ivar the Boneless who was also a king.

Thanks Cassie. I'll admit I'm not up on my Viking history. I remember when the baby was born they showed his eyes as having the pupils shaped like a snake.

That was a different baby! The one with the snake eye is Sigurd Snake in the Eye, lol. They're not following the legends exactly, but a lot of it is definitely in the story. Ivar the boneless should have been the eldest son (according to the Viking legends) and he wouldn't have been born deformed since he became a great warrior and king. The "boneless" part was probably something that was added once he was grown, just like Ragnar changing Bjorn's name after a battle.

THANKS! I thought I missed something because they did show that baby's eyes up close and the snake was gone. They seemed to jump around a bit in time and I feel like I missed something. Apparently I did. I need to find time to do some history / legend lessons.

They definitely jumped forward in time last season, and I felt like I'd missed something too. The number of Ragnar's kids went from one baby to several little kids running around.

Ok good, so it isn't me just hallucinating things!

I see lots of "love trouble" brewing. Ragnar and Lagartha look to be rekindling lost love and Princess Aslaug is seething with jealousy over it (scene of convo between ragnar and lagartha prepping for the joruney at the boat). Then you have King Ecbert drooling and fawning all over Lagartha. I'm not so sure she likes the King, but she's playing the game to get what she wants. I see Ragnar getting pissed over it.

SIGGY!!!! :rwmad: I knew Keamy was evil!

I don't understand why they're making supernatural shit seem real.

OMG (finally got to watch this friday night) - she was just trying on the throne too! That shocked me, truly. Rollo is going to be pissed when he gets home. Well, everyone is going to be pissed anyway.

What supernatural stuff are they making seem real?

The Wanderer guy being able to take Ivar's pain away, and getting Aslaug to sleep with him, and making Ragnar's kids walk out onto the ice and Siggy sensing it somehow... I dunno, just seems a bit supernatural to me.

Oh, OK. I didn't catch him making the kids walk onto the ice, but the bullshit about taking that kid's pain away I found stupid. Aslaug sleeping with him was feasible to me because she's lonely, jealous and figures Ragnar is fucking around on her so why not? Maybe they'll make it so he knocked her up and really change the mythology and history? I dunno, but he did 'disappear into the mist' on his departure.

I forgot to mention how much I fucking love Princess Kwenthirth! lol she peed on Ragnar and she poisoned her brother.
