Battle of LA was kinda traumatising....i think i'm pretty much over action/blow em up's. With all teh natural disasters, wars & nuke threats, they just not that appealing anymoar
4/10
Neither are you.
Just watched a documentary about Deep Throat and the birth of the porn industry. It was way more interesting even to someone who grew up with connections to that world, and there was a lot of stuff I didn't know. As a political piece it's fascinating as hell how the rise and fall of that film was directly linked to the political climate of the time and all the various behind the scenes shit that went on both in government and organized crime. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in the sexual revolution, civil rights movements, feminism, the Nixon era, or boobehs.
9 out of 10. Easy.
Oscar edition:
Black Swan
Natalie should win the Oscar. And Barbara Hershey looks GREAT, thank you! But the movie is a silly mess. We know what the 'twist' is 10 minutes into the movie, and just mark time from that point waiting for the inevitable 'arty' conclusion. It was a good short film that got stretched out to a sloppy feature.
.
Canada sucks.
An envious, nothing typical American citizen speaks what little mind he has about the greatest nation on earth. Fear not, we are well on our way to purchasing your entire country, and turning it into the world's largest parking lot.
Canada sucks.
Thor
OMG - saw this in IMAX 3D this afternoon. IMAX 3D is awesome. The sound rumbled the floors and the seats and the walls. It was great.
I don't know much about Thor the comic book so I didn't have any expectations going in. I like Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman and Chris Hemsworth.
The scenery was awesome. The costumes were awesome. The sound was awesome. The action was awesome. When Natalie Portman kissed Chris Hemsworth my toes curled!
Wait until after all the credits because there is a little clip of The Avengers at the very end and it is pretty good.
Rate it A+ and a little more. I might go see it again.
