What film did you recently see ? Do not forget to rate it

Missed the Edit Time.

War Games Matthew Broderick 7
While I was shouting at the TV at times I really enjoyed this movie and couldn't stop watching it. I've also always enjoyed Matthew Broderick.

Duel (1971)

A made-for-tv movie directed by Spielberg.

The plot wasn't complicated, but it didn't try to insult my intelligence. I'd think it was predictable at one point, then get proven totally wrong. Suspenseful, and not much dialogue. What really captures the suspense are the scenes where the car and the truck are really moving at high speed. What I didn't like was that it kept using repetitive cuts. Though, since this was a TV movie for the 70's the budget was low, so I give it that much.

Anyway, I'd rate it about an 8.

I also saw "Death Race"

A lot better than I thought it'd be. But, I was drunk at the time.

Plot and other movie essentials were about a 5.
The action (which is why you watch movies like this in the first place) was about an 8.5.

Pump Up the Volume

This movie is the definition of "quaint." The premise has been rendered obselete by the internet.

He's just not that into you
Sucked. I don't recomend it.

The only redeeming thing about watching this movie were the kids in front of us who looked like they were on some sort of a date, they were entertaining to watch. Drew Barrymore was disapointing to look at, all of the girls except Scarlett were nothing to go home to dream about. Jennifer's hands looked old! Poor girl. Ginnifer Goodwin was cute, but her clothes were awful, I enjoyed her performance in Big Love, she kept that same cute quality about her-but not enough to bring the movie through.
The guys on the other hand surprised me. I really enjoyed Justin Long and Bradley Cooper.
Other than that, the movie sucked. Seriously, do we need a movie telling us how we know if a guy is into us or not? You just insulted every woman out there, and it was more insulting to watch.

Was the male kid feeling up the female kid's pussy? I used to do that at the movies. Just rub the fuck out of her cunt until she is ready to explode.

My family used to watch this every year, and every year we would laugh our asses off at how lame it was-but its like a classic to me.

Last of the Dogmen
Pretty romantic, its like watching a harliquin romance or something, but very good story.

The Day The Earth Stood Still

Sucked a lot less that i was expecting, Keeanu's wooden acting actually works for an alien, and i can't say i disagree with the "message".

Miracle at St. Anna

Remind me not to watch Spike Lee flicks. This movie sucked a lot. There are so many things wrong with the movie that I feel like listing them would only make me relive the entire film. It was 2.5 hours of utter bullshit. Never watch this movie.

1 out of 10

Just to spoil it so none of you feel compelled to watch it:

The man he shoots at the beginning was a traitor. The kid (you'll know the one) survives, makes a ton of money, and helps the main character from going to jail.

The end. It didn't take 2.5 hours to explain all that. It didn't.

Knowing

This one almost deserves its own thread.
I don't know what to say about this movie.
I recomend seeing it, and especially in the theatre.
Its a little bit fucked up at times actually LOL
I give it an 8 out of 10.

Frost/Nixon.

Color me impressed. I normally loathe Oscar material because it's too predictable/pretentious/uninspired. But Frost/Nixon is one marvellous movie, and a monument of quality movie making.

The climax was great, and it's one of the rare movies that manage to be suspenseful as hell even though you already know the ending.

10/10.

I was tempted to see this movie before you wrote this glowing review. Now, I have to watch this.

I saw Terminator 3 this weekend. It was great fun, definitely better than I expected.

I also watched Con Air this weekend. It was also great fun, but it was about the level that I expected, which was corny/bad/awful. But fun. Nicholas Cage is a barrel of unintentional laughs.

Fast and Furious.

Over the top tribute to the first movie. If you liked the first one, you obviously like fast cars, hot women, and all the characters, so this won't disappoint.

B+

I disagree. It's not a stand-alone movie. You really need to see the two F&F movies to understand this one. Also, it's not as much about the cars as the others were. They tried to make a car movie into a soap-ish drama. I was fairly unimpressed. It's probably because I recently watched a lot of good car movies like Vanishing Point, the original Gone in Sixty Seconds, and Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry. Fast and Furious has too many fast cuts, CGI, and the chase scenes are so brief that you can't really see how amazing the cars are that they're driving.

I'd give it a C-

Quantum of Solace.

7 out of 10.

I thought the main Bond girl was boring, and would have loved to have more of Ms. Fields instead, who had a better personality. Thumbs up to Mathieu Amalric, who I first saw in Munich and it was great to see him in a bigger role.

Rachel Getting Married

Two scores for this one. Anne Hathaway's acting was an 8 out of 10.

Movie, 5 out of 10.

It's definitely got that indy feel to it, right up with the jerky camera shots which are meant to make the viewer feel like they're apart of the film, but just gave me a headache. And this was touted as Debra Winger's big comeback, but meh...She'll always be Sissy to me! <g>

Other than the dad and the sister's fiance, there is not one likable person in this movie, which is why I found myself skipping through parts of it.
