What film did you recently see ? Do not forget to rate it

Shutter Island - 7.5
Avatar - 8
Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief - 5.5

Want to see Avatar: The Last Airbender
Clash of the Titans

Thinking about seeing The Wolfman if can get in to a cheap matinee to see it.

Saw "Alice in Wonderland" in 3D.

Good, not great. Nice visuals. Johny Depp was hard to understand at parts, maybe because some of his lines were nonsense words to begin with. Flat Script.

7/10

The Invention of Lying 7.5/10 - surprisingly insightful and charming, but Jennifer Garner is just not a decent character and gets kind of slow in places

Franklyn 6/10 - fascinating film that could have been so much more. what should have been a series of unrelated things coming together surprisingly instead was fairly predictable. And it starts to delve into the relationship between government and religion but then stops and forgets about it. Frustrating, but it still mostly held my interest.

Shutter Island ~~ 4/10

The Crazies ~~ 7.5/10 (I want to do wicked, naughty things to Timothy Olyphant)

Percy Jackson. About a 4/10 for bland boring characters. Didn't help that I knew full well the remake of Clash of the Titans is about to tell this same stuff in a much better fashion. This was weak sauce Harry Potter crap with the high school musical cast...

The bad thing about "Lightning Thief" is the best stuff was in the promos on TV. The storytelling was really on par for the pre-teen but a couple of the monsters were pretty frightening. I'd have had nightmares for years over them but children today may be more sophisiticated or jaded from the routine fare they are subjected to on TV so maybe they'd be okay with it.

Saw "The Wolfman" tonight. Had to pay full price - out of movie passes already and it wasn't showing at the matinee anywhere - and the row behind me, in the small theater, talked and got up and down all through the movie. On top of that, I do not care for the actor that played Laurence Talbot - even though he was a good choice if trying to cast a Lon Chaney looking type actor for the part. I was also predisposed to dislike the movie because of the professional reviews and word of mouth from the average audience. However, I think I would give it a higher rating - maybe a B+. The picture was good looking, the cast was good even if they were a tad over the top in the dramatic theatrics, the relationship between Laurence and Gwen could have used some development, and I definitely could have done with a little less gore in the freaking teeth and smeared all over him with guts strewn all over the ground. But, I particularly enjoyed the old dog rallying there just before the fire. Pretty darn good.

The Crazies - Movie itself wasn't very good, but I only saw it for Timothy Olyphant. :D 7/10

The Hurt Locker. Should be the butthurt locker. What a pile of pro american shit it is. All the actors, production staff, director and even the tea lady should be lined up and shot for making it. I give it a -500.

T'Bonz at TrekBBS thinks it is a leftist anti-war anti-military piece of garbage. Which means you both made the same conclusion.

Hot Tub Time Machine 9/10
Bounty Hunter-I had to leave 1/3 of the way through due to not feeling well. Can't say I was disapointed. 3/10
