I thought I was NaughtE?

You have never been NaughtE but you were posting as eloisel for awhile.

One of these days I'll tell you a couple of secrets about that transaction. Well, they were really only secret from you and the JLDOG. I think you'll appreciate the irony at some point in your trolling career.

You have never been NaughtE but you were eloisel, albeit briefly.

As a third party independent observer allow me the luxury of pointing out it wasn't lost on me, either :D

afa E's claim about Type 2 and her GBS procedure. Type 2 is from a slow degrading of insulin sensitivity from the glycemic load. Eventually the body cannot keep up and simply dumps glucose into the bloodstream (insulin resistance)

It turns out that bypass surgery dramatically reduces the amino acids circulating in the blood – in particular, a type called branched-chain amino acids, which make up 40 percent of these nutrients in our diet. That's from a study published today in Science Translational Medicine.

Somehow this drop in amino acids (the building blocks of proteins) improves the body's response to insulin. That's the main problem in type 2 diabetes – a lack of insulin sensitivity.

So, it makes sense. I did it a different way, because my Type 2 is "cured" also, I no longer spike after meals and my sugar has stayed below 120 since just before Thanksgiving. My A1C is currently 6.1 and I enjoy most foods again except processed milk and ketchup, I can even eat potatoes, pasta and bread again. Still no refined sugar (or salt) in any food though.

I did mine with diet and exercise.

I had the vertical sleeve gastrectomy - VSG - which means a section of my stomach was removed and nothing bypassed. Apparently the troublesome hormones are in the section of the stomach removed. I can still eat whatever I want as long as I get in 60 grams of protein, take my vitamins, and drink at least 64 ounces of fluid every day. With a 6 ounce stomach, though, I have to be careful about my choices. I've been a low fat, low sugar, low carb, high potassium eater for a few decades though so the diet isn't a problem for me. About all I've had to give up is Diet Coke because of the carbonation.

It is good that you are able to control your health issues through diet and exercise alone. Was the cause of your diabetes/insulin resistance due to your previous diet and exercise habits?

I thought I used to care.

You still do.

I'm still waiting for a photo of your excellent work on a beautiful mantle you told me about once. You know I love carpenters, plumbers, builders, and handymen of all kinds, butt crack and all. God knows you've showed me enough of your butt crack. Are you ever going to show me the good stuff?

I like the little one. She's spunky! The bigger one is kind of a cow.

Do you think the little belts do anything or do you think they're just there to add interest to the lower half ensemble? It does lend a sort of 'as above, so below' to the overall look of the outfit. A certain symmetry is always pleasing to one's innate sense of visual organization.
