I hate hard shell corn tortillas. And cheap, generic tacos. But I got served up an Old El Paso ad and now I'm kind of thinking I need a taco night, where I heat cheap generic tacos in hard shell corn totillas. What do I need? Taco shells, obviously. Hamburger and taco sauce. Sour cream. Shredded iceberg lettuce. Black olives. Probably chopped onions. Hot sauce. Guac? A pitcher of margaritas. A normal person would also invite friends over. But that sounds horrible. Ooh! Sliced pickled jalepenos! Chopped tomatoes.
Also I don't use hamburger anymore. I like the pre-seasoned taco beef cut up in small pieces, vor chicken or pork.
Black beans work good to with seasoning and or sweet potatoes surprisingly. And purple cabbage instead of lettuce.
Now I am hungry.
On my list of things I'd do if I had nothing else to do is learning to make flour tortillas and cook beans from scratch. It's right up there with attaching a smoker to the old wood burning stove I have out in the shed.
