And then one guy calls and says he is coming in and then my boss asks if I can stay late. Mother Fucker! We have had no cars all day today, nothing (except 1 really) and then, fuck we gotta stay fucking late today because people can't communicate and people are coming in late and I can't talk to certain people because they will probably tell my boss so I have to put on a really fake smile and go "Its all good" "yeah, its okay"

Because I HAVE TO RECORD A QUICK VOICEOVER FOR A POWERPOINT PRESENTATION AND THE HISSING SHOWS UP AS BACKGROUND NOISE WHEN I TRY TO RECORD, AND EVEN USING SOME NOISE CANCELLING TRICKS DOESN'T COMPLETELY GET RID OF IT, AND I CAN'T PICK UP THIS WHOLE COMPUTER SETUP AND MOVE IT INTO ANOTHER ROOM NOW CAN I? I SAID CAN I???

(No, not really, I really can't.)
 
WEll I could tgry to record it on my laptop in another room, but I don't know if the quality would match the voiceover I did yesterday for this same presentation.

And it would really suck to go to the trouble of moving this whole dog & pony show into another less comfortable room, only to find I can't use the end product.

Fuck. NOW I KNOW WHAT SOPHIE WAS GOING THROUGH WITH HER CHOICE.
 
Of course if I had only taken a quick cat nap after work last night and recorded it at, oh, 1AM, instead of sleeping through the night and hastily recording it at 6:30am before the morning crew signs on at 8, this wouldn't have been a problem.
 
And I wouldn't have slept through the night if my body wasn't so sleep deprived from having to be a MORNING PERSON while in the suburbs with my family, and then having to work EXTRA HOURS all this week because other people are on vacation, and it will be like this until the 3rd week of December when I take some time off ONLY BECAUSE I HAVE TO USE UP MY PAID VACATION DAYS BEFORE THE NEW YEAR SO I'M WORKING LIKE A MANIAC THIS WEEK AND NEXT, AND THEN HAVE THE THIRD WEEK OF DECEMBER OFF EXCEPT FOR FRIDAY AFTERNOON WHEN I HAVE TO LOG ON FOR THE ANNUAL VIRTUAL YEAR-END COMPANY MEETING, AND THEN WORK TWO DAYS THE NEXT WEEK BEFORE THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY STARTS.
