Is there any point posting casting news for this, when everyone will just say "WELL WE'LL SEE HOW IT TURNS OUT IN THE MOVIE." Is there any point speculating about any movie or tv show ever before we see them? PROBABLY NOT.

I think making major casting announcements is a good sign that it will. Of course we could both be dead by the time it comes (I almost certainly will be) so, in a sense, you're right that it may never happen...
