This is a new Starz show. They put the entire first episode online. (I haven't watched it) I don't know if I want to watch a show about pirates, but it could be good. It premieres January 25th. Oh... shit Michael Bay is the producer, and it stars Toby Stephens, Hannah New, and Luke Arnold (never heard of them).

I get the impression it's meant to be a Sparty replacement, which of course it can't hope to be, but I'll still give it a go.

Starz has already renewed Black Sails for a second season. The first episode is tomorrow night, so I guess i will watch it at least once.
 
I GUESS I SHOULD LOOK INTO THIs it's a good thing there's threads about every tv show in the MF really!
 
ARGHHHH! It was a lot better than I expected it to be. I think I will enjoy this show. It's got violence, boobs, humor, the acting is pretty good, the effects are pretty good, and I like the cast so far.

Captain Flint is hot.

You can tell it's made by the same network as Sparty. People have important conversations while screwing.

Enjoyed the first episode. Very nice to look at, good acting, Sir Perceval from Merlin, and an interesting plot.

I mean that while watching it I didn't get bored and do something else at the same time (like I did with Helix) so that's something!

I like the Captain guy and how he's kind of nuts but also cool and he beat that guys face in.

I didn't really like how all the female characters were basically there to be in a sex scene but that's Starz for you I guess?

I really don't give a shit about John Silver and his stupid floppy hair though.

I'll probably keep watching!

Kick ass title music though.
 
I forgot to mention how much I disliked the "main character"(?) who was really corny and felt like he was from a kids show.

The Captain's great, though, so hopefully he'll take precedent.

There are complaints that this show doesn't have enough action at sea, but I kinda like the on the island shenanigans. The second ep was pretty good, a bit much John Silver, but I guess this story is supposed to be about him anyway. I wish they'd got a better actor to play him because right now I wish this was the Captain Flint story.
