Black Sails

yeah, it was really good! I'm even starting to think John Silver could become an interesting character. He just looks kind of bland, but that isn't his fault... Captain Flint has the face of a pirate.

Is this like Merlin / Musketeers on the high seas?

Bear is truly awesome, never heard of him until I started hanging out with the cool kids in the minefield BIGTIME
 
I haven't seen the Musketeers show yet, but this show is better than Merlin and Atlantis. Those are kind of silly shows, with toned down violence. Black Sails is more realistic, I guess?

Also, if you are now loving Bear McCreary you should check out his youtube channel and watch all the Black Sails vlogs. They are all really good. He does one for each episode.

It's an adult show about pirates which is confusing in the first few episodes becuase you don't know who all these people are and why they're betraying each other but gets better the more you watch.

I can't believe Flint killed Gates :rwmad: I was very forgiving of Flint's murderous ways until he did that, the bastard. ALSO, someone should toss Dufresne overboard. Did he really think starting a full blown mutiny at that very moment was a good idea?

Vane's story is weird, I wonder how long he'll be satisfied living in the fort. I think his feelings for Eleanor are kind of sweet, and pervy.

I was afraid they'd leave the show on a terrible cliffhanger with Flint's fate uncertain. I'm really glad they did not do that.
 
It's good to know that Eleanor was a hot 13 year old!

I liked the whole season, after not being sure at the start. Of course I'll have forgotten it all by the time season two is on.
 
I wasn't too shocked when Flint killed Gates, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to miss the funny bastard. He and Jack Rackham (and Randall of course) are the only ones who provide some comic relief.

And I don't understand what Vane's so pissed off about with Jack and Anne. He left them and they had no clue if he was ever coming back. And I agree, Cassie...his obsession with Eleanor has moved into STALKER MODE. How much older is he than her? Enough to have already been a pirate on the island when she was 13.
 
He's been rescued by sexy mermaids, they have him on a little rock out in the ocean.
