I wanted to help WF, and I was banned for this. So, fuck it. I'll never ask to be unbanned, not if I can't even defend myself against malignment of my credibility.

In two weeks I'm flying home to propose to the woman I love. Maybe I don't NEED Wordforge anymore.

Here's the thing which doesn't fit with me. Tamar receives a message saying the authorities won't do anything. Why didn't she step in then and there? Did she think Elwood approved?

If it was meant to be a harmless staff-sanctioned rep war, that's already better than the 'threat' nonsense. But gul still retains every right to be pissed.

Maybe I am just too much of a troll myself....I didn't see it as anything more than a cheap troll...hell I still don't.

Yes, I assumed it was rep war...what else could we do anything about? The supposed threat to Gul's job? How in the world could we stop that if Storm wanted to do it? I can't ban him from his phone plan.

Well, telling gul wold have been a start.

Banning Storm the next step.

And of course, the wrong thing to do was join in with Storm on trolling gul.

Again, I'm not saying YOU did this. I'm thinking more specifically of people like Bear and Evenflow.

Why would I just ban someone for a troll? One I myself have done in the past with little fanfare? I didn't believe for a moment Storm had any of gul's information and do you really think even Listkeeper..hell especially Listkeeper would really help someone fuck with someone's job?

I don't think even gul believes that. I think this is a very handy incident to use and overblow into a weapon. As a troll, I recognize good work when I see it. I just don't see it accomplishing what I think they are after.

But I could be wrong. I guess I'll find out if Mark ever gets around to PMing me.

You can't just make random assumptions like that when it comes to RL stuff, though, is my point.

I had no clue about Listkeepers history. Partly cause I never cared to find out.

Using such a threat to troll someone should be disallowed, is what I'm saying. If you guys are really trying to keep a pleasant community atmosphere going, that ain't how you do it. Most of WF is like me, in that they aren't all buddy-buddy with several people. That behavior, if permitted, is the sort of thing that will actively discourage people from taking part in your board.

There's a huge difference in playing with info that was made public (either at this board or another site) and threatening to take personal info and ruin someone's life with it.

Because I didn't believe you were really gonna play around with his RL info. When I saw that you were indeed threatening him with it, I did everything I could to stop it.

It was a mistake on my part. I foolishly thought you might have a sense of decency.

And Tamar: I'm here, but there isn't any RL info that I've released that anyone could use towards me with ill effect. So I'm not exactly worried about my OWN info. Nor was I ever.
 
Why shouldn't he? He's not a mod. And wasn't he being railed against to not release some details which would have cleaned up the mess the general membership had to endure from the start?

I may stay here for a while, but probably not permanently. I have that short-lived soap board of mine that I refitted to be a general type of atmostphere like WF (minus bullshit admin decisions and witchhunts). I might try to kick-start that, and invite the few people I still talk with at the Enterprise forum who were too scared to come to WF.
 
That's just it, Crosis. There is no way to know if he has the info or not, simply that he made a threat. I think elwood said regarding goldeneye that he'd rather err on the side of caution. That's what nobody did in this case, and it blew up in their face.

Exactly, why should I have?

Im not a mod, and it was made clear to me many times I never would be one.

I didn't want to be involved, at all. I didn't want your PM, I didn't want to be wrapped up in this drama. I didn't think it would go far, not before Tamar or someone stepped in. I was wrong, and had to handle things as best I could.

Bear was in on it the whole time with you, and Evenflow certainly gave silent consent at the very least. They wanted the extra responsibility of being mods, well that means they can't stoop to your juvenile games at the same time.

He's acting like he had some great "crisis of conscience" when, if it really bothered him, he would have gone running to gul, as was planned. :mad:

As it stands, he's just a whiny bitch trying to grab a little spotlight -- like the ugly chick consigned to satellite stage 3 when the best titty dancer takes the main stage.

Your reaction amuses me. Especially because you underestimated me and expected me to break my word to you. I guess I have more honor about that than you.

Now, you can keep spinning this if you want, Storm, but I'm not the villain here. I'm not the one so weak-willed he couldn't handle having someone like gul on the same board as him.
