Gotham season 1

My flatmate had the most recent episode on, which is the only one I've seen so far and I thought it was pretty ok.

Sean Pertwee is the best bit.

The noir/present day style is successful in some places, but I think they could push it a little further to really give the show it's own look and feel. Some scenes look like the 1940s, others look like last week's CSI. It could use a little work.

It was lucky that the Penguin knew the exact right time to walk into the police station!

Why did the therapist make the killers think they were "the spirit of the goat"? Do goats kill rich people?

For your consideration:

Interesting. Well tonight was the first episode I watched, and while clueless, it was great fun.

Next weeks the finale, so I guess I'll figure it out.

I figured the therapist was killing the rich girls because she was jealous of them.

Oooh, Barbara. What are you doing? lol

This episode was more interesting

Barbara followed by "interesting"!?

I wasnät thinking of Barbara. This episode we got to meet Harvey Dent, and Cat Girl was portrayed more deeply.

Yeah, Barbara is still not interesting but she did a thing!

The Bruce and Selina stuff was cute, and also Harvey Dent is cute.

I can't wait to binge watch this over Thanksgiving weekend!

(Damn Dancing With the Stars to hell)

Barbara and Selina still painful to watch. The actress who plays Selina pulls off "Streetwise" about as well as the actor who play Bruce manages "brooding". Weak sauce. Funny bit: I was watching the show with my GF and the 11 year old when Jim Gordon calls Barbara to beg her to come back, and we both, me and the kid, spontaneously yelled "NOOOOO!" hahahahaha. I didn't even know he didn't like her.

I like how they're developing the love/hate relationship with CatGirl. Kind of reminiscent of the kitschy TV series for me. Wonder when she becomes CatWoman? :)

I'm odd man out, I like Fish Mooney/Jada Pinkett Smith. I'm having a problem with the girl playing Selina Kyle though, I want to slap that smirky smugness off her walleyed little goldfish face.

Is Harvey Dent supposed to be insane? Not even counting the scene where he's spraying spit, he comes across as a little bit of a lunatic.

I have no idea about the tv character (yet), but the comic book character was two distinct personalities.

Ah, well that's excellent foreshadowing then.

Yeah I think they're hinting at distinct bipolar traits there. Although I kinda wish they wouldn't always go right to the coin bit. It's hack.

Wasn't sure whether to put this hear or in the Doctor Who thread, so went with here.

I was going to say "remember when he was in Doctor Who" but turns out it was Patrick Troughton's son so never mind!

Jim Gordon was in another cop drama so it looks like he's found his niche.
