I Answer All Questions About LOST

Tricia Tanaka is dead

That's what her gook ass gets for standing under a meteorite... or asteroid... or whatever.

Incidentally, I'm not really into Asians that much, but Sung Hi Lee is a fine little piece of ass.

It was a quality episode as far as lighthearted comedies go, and with all the tense drama going on it's nice to mix it up. Also, nice to see Jin get some screentime after being relegated to a glorified extra this season.

We did learn absolutley nothing though. As great as Lost is, its weakness is pacing. Am I the only one that notices that they linger for about ten seconds too long on reaction shots and people walking about? might not seem like much but they add up and do pad episodes out to meet the 45 minute requirement.

Still, despite the trickle of information being supplied there is little to fault the show with.

Yeah, and he's an excellent actor too. His facial expressions were worth watching this time around.

On the contrary, we learned that a road had been built from the Swan to a nearby place, as we saw on Sawyer's map, and if the blastdoor map is even remotely accurate, then the road leads to the Flame, and that's where we'll find Patch/Jacob next week.

^Was that not the very same woman who was putting pressure on Micheal (by holding Walt hostage) to go back and free Ben?
Yet, IIRC, Eyepatch said they were NOT part of the Dharma Inititiative.

So why would they (ie Eyepatch and whomever) want Ben freed? Incongruity in the plot line?

Or have I missed another detail yet again? :)

Ms. Klugh or "Bea" yeah.

Yet, IIRC, Eyepatch said they were NOT part of the Dharma Inititiave.

Patch is one of the Others... his association with Bea proves that. Whether the Others are actually the Dharma Initiative or not remains to be seen, but I think so.

Ben came to recruit either Locke or Jack... I'm thinking Jack, and got imprisoned. That's why the Others had to stage a "jailbreak" with Michael.

Who do you think the hostiles really are?

Why do you think the flame station was rigged up with C-4?

I went to one of those online Lost sites http://www.mittelosbioscience.org/ and a map is revealed to show a third island. It also says they are doing Casimir studies. Is all this online stuff actually part of Lost? I mean is it fan stuff or is it put out by the creators of the show? I've never gotten much into the online content so I have no idea what is real and what isn't.

damn, I didn't realise The Others could be anything but part of the Dharma Initiative. So the Others may actually be 'The Hostiles' the lab freak kept referring to in those old b & w vids....

And wasnt it rather premature of Locke to blithely play 7/7 without knowing the outcome?
he acts a little retarded sometimes. He of all people should know what comes of striking computer keys without truly understanding the game....

The Others could be part of a DHARMA experiment, if not exactly part of DHARMA.

I don't know. I'm pretty sure it's not the Others.

To keep the Hostiles from taking it over and making unauthorized transmissions off the island.

The production staff swears up and down that site isn't official. IIRC, though, someone traced the owner and it turned out to be ABC.

No, I don't think the Others are the Hostiles, though I'm prepared to be wrong on this point.

Locke's gone insane. He wasn't exactly stable to begin with, but he's slipping his gears and challenging the DI over misleading him about the Swan.

Right now, all signs point to the Others being at least affiliated with DHARMA, if not DHARMA agents themselves.

Juliet was directly recruited by Mittellos to do research, and Ben has the ability to let her off the island. If there's middle piece in there, we haven't seen it yet.

I think the Others are affiliated with DHARMA, just not in the way they might think.

I wonder, if the hostiles are not the Others, where the hell are they? (idle ramblings.. I know there's not enough information)

Also, do you post on Lost general board? If you do, who the fuck is kiteblowingoutofcontrol?

The only other time we hear the word "hostiles" is by Inman to Desmond in the Swan.

Some theories...

"Hostiles" might be a generic term for anyone on the island not a member of the DI.

Alternatively, "hostiles" may refer to a specific group from outside the DI attempting to thwart the DI gameplan... the UN, for example.

Lastly, there may be a faction war within what's left of the DI, with one group hanging on to some hidden agenda, and another seeking to destroy the plan.

The last one really makes the most sense. Ben referred to him and his crew as the "good guys." They make a distinction between "good people" and "bad people." From the Lost Experience, we know that the Hanso Foundation has been hijacked by Mittelwerk and he is using it to unleash a supervirus... could the Others somehow stand in the way of Mittelwerk's plan, and therefore are under some sort of threat of invasion?

Also, do you post on Lost general board? If you do, who the fuck is kiteblowingoutofcontrol?

You mean the Fuselage? I did, but I got tired of the moderators and their anal retentive bullshit. Now I post on a couple other more poster-friendly boards.

No, not the Fuselage. ABC.com Lost general board. kiteblowingoutofcontrol is a troll. He/she is hilarious, pretends to have multiple personalities, has God knows how many duals that she calls her helpers. Everyone hates her, but they can't ignore her. I think her kite dual has been banned, though. She got into some fan's private board and leaked the password. I used to follow all that, but ABC's message boards suck ass. If anyone ever wants to stir things up over there just make a thread with her screen name in the title.

Back to Lost. I forgot about Ben saying they were the good guys. To him I guess the Others are the good guys.

I just remembered about all the kidnapped Losties.. that flight attendant and the kids. I wonder why the flight attendant (can't remember her name) didn't seem surprised or upset about Jack being in that cage. Stuff like that bugs me. If she isn't an Other herself, is seems like she'd be a little freaked out about finding someone she knew in a cage. Unless she's been kept in some type of cage herself.
