So...Storm comes back to WF and immediately gets two WARNINGS.

As someone else keeps saying...

"man this just keeps giving and giving..."

Not that any of it matters, the unwashed masses have already gone back to drinking their cool-aid over at WF...even the ones shit on.

In another week or so, it'll be completely over and absolutely no changes will be mades.

After at least two flames in the help desk...

Later in the thread...

Later...

Now on any other fucking board in the universe if the management allows a banned poster to come back and the poster immediately begins violating the rules again they would be re-banned so fast their ass would make a sonic boom as it left the board. All Storm has done is flame and troll in THIS (It starts on page 3 or 4) Help Desk thread. I mean openly saying you don't care about warnings and bragging that your friends have given you a tabula rosa.

At thispoint I gotta ask, is Elwood sitting home thinking up ways to destroy his and the rest of the staffs credibility???

Maybe he thinks the next time he smashes the hammer into his hand it wont hurt.

And I just sit...and watch...and laugh like hell still at the bunch of them.

Oh, how far their credibility has sunk in the last two years.

'Tis a shame...

They stole the boad from Borgs, made it look like he was more unstable than he actually is, for what? A message board?

In all seriousness, the way they cling onto that board like an asphyxiated person to oxygen, I seriously think their lives revolve around it.

I honestly do. How very sad... :(

I disagree. I think this time around the board has taken a serious hit.

The Mods/admins have been shown as liars and as biased losers.

Elwood has been shown to be in thrall to Storm. Probably licking his boots right now. Elwood has also been shown that for all the shit he spews about "listening" he isn't.

Lot of posters are soured on the place and while they may continue to post there they will always have that little nugget in the back of their head that Eliteforge is seperate and above them.

The next "shitstorm" will be a lot worse then even this one was because the pressure is reaching critical levels.

I must say that I'm shocked about how Borgs gave the board up. It is no different then what he tried to do with the piracy site of his. It would have been theft to take a copy of the database if Borgs had refused to sell. I bet he got gipped on the price as well.

I wonder why the bastard didn't just come out and tell the board? Tell us that they are threating to take a copy of the database to Haven. I can't speak for others but I sure as hell would have objected. Just like I did over Borgs board. If I had known what was really happening I wouldn't have cheered him leaving like almost everyone else did.

Borgs should have fired everyone, changed the passwords, and then let the board know what they tried to do. As always he was wishy-washy IMHO.

I agree. that nugget will be stewing in people's brains, and when the next shitstorm hits, that nugget will have grown big enough to make a lot of members see the reality of the situation.

And NO amount of EliteForge Spin (TM) will be able to eradicate it.

I hope EliteForge doesn't get lulled into a forced sense of security.

On second thought, yeah, I do. That will be a helluva lot more fun to watch. :D

The thieves did such a great job misrepresenting the situation and Borgs, no one would believe him.

I knew the feeling. Until now.

Just create a new type of banning to go along with permas and account locking. Call it "The timeout for special posters who act too special, like Storm" group.

This category would be reserved for people who blatantly violate rule after rule, yet are let back in because they are more popular than the rules. I mean, just drop the pretense already.

Imaginary bannings. Nice precedent, Elwood.

Hmm. Elwood let's people back in when they contact him. Because Storm apologized, he was let back in first. BUT HE'S NOT A BROWN-NOSE, NO SIR.

The case is clear. CM, GE, and others will not be let back in because Elwood does not want them in. Why do you (some) people tip-toe around this like school kids? Just let the staff members (NOTMRSA) make fools of themselves claiming otherwise.

Hell, it'd be much easier to ban everyone, then have them all write e-mails asking to be let back in, so Elwood can filter everyone all at once.

I'll probably have a lot of rotten fruit thrown at me for saying this.

But I don't buy the "Not Mrs. A"

If you willingly hang around...or are in, in this case a fucked up organization you are implicitly giving your approval to said organizations actions.

/is ready to be tarred and feathered.

Borgs apparently had a lot of class and love of WF not to outwardly state the reasons for selling the board especially in light of a mutinous staff. No wonder Elwood surrounds himself by yes-men.

Only former admins/owners.

Right now only Tamar and Cassandra have it. Chris lost his after he tried to divide the staff from within.
It is rather pathetic that Cassandra still has it. I don't care if she founded the board or not.

Damn y'all. Now I'm gettin' thirsty!

I want some cool-aid.

Yes, a copy of the database was used to make HavenBBS. So what?
I never knew about that. To be honest if that is true it is worse than Borgs using a backup copy of the board database from when he owned WF.

I'm almost tempted to open a hypothetical "BBS Ethics" thread similar to the one Tamar started a year and a half ago asking WF if they think that it'd be moral for the staff of a board to steal the database from it's lawful owner to start their own little 'protest haven' because if Bailey, a moderator, didn't know about Eliteforge's dirty little secret then I'm sure that others don't have a clue about it either and it'd be a public service to let them know IMHO!

Do you know, I don't think it will, because there's such a large amount of spin and namecalling everyday WF members are tuning it out.

The way I see it -- the people who have raised issues with WF have either been branded as troublemakers or largely ignored. Once everything has settled, there'll be a tacit notion that they're not that valued as members anymore because they're not supportive of the WF community.

People who haven't said anything over some of the (what I personally feel to be) really worrying errors won't say anything about anything full stop. They don't like trouble and avoid it like the plague so, assuming there is a next time, they won't speak up.

So it'll be status quo, with opinionated WFs on TK feeling frustrated and WF mods on WF feeling frustrated and a whole heap of WFers in the middle shielding their heads.

Woah woah woah. Database? Are you saying that an administrator created a copy of it or something?

True, but there isn't usually this amount of unrest. I've never seen it like this.

Ah... I love the smell of hypocracy in the morning... it smells like... self-pwning!
