So...Storm comes back to WF and immediately gets two WARNINGS.

The way I see it -- the people who have raised issues with WF have either been branded as troublemakers or largely ignored. Once everything has settled, there'll be a tacit notion that they're not that valued as members anymore because they're not supportive of the WF community.

People who haven't said anything over some of the (what I personally feel to be) really worrying errors won't say anything about anything full stop. They don't like trouble and avoid it like the plague so, assuming there is a next time, they won't speak up.

So it'll be status quo, with opinionated WFs on TK feeling frustrated and WF mods on WF feeling frustrated and a whole heap of WFers in the middle shielding their heads.

I've raised plenty of issues myself, you mean to tell me that I am viewed as a troublemaker?

Or largely ignored... if you list your issues and against it how they were directly answered or acknowledged, how does it balance to you?

Yup. They made a copy of the entire WF database without Borg's knowlege or permission and used it to create the aborted HavenBBS.

Nick, Elwood, yeah. As is typical, it isn't clear what Tamar's role was, but she certainly has defended the action.

The current administration is the bastard child of an act of betrayal and piracy? Wow. What a bunch of crooks. I say because none of the people involved in copying the fucking database should ever be trusted to be on Elwood's staff, when it turns out he's just as bad!

I don't think I could continue posting there under a group of people who show complete disregard for the sanctity of the database.

The only two involved who are genuinely out of power are Chris, and Spaceturkey who left the board. And myself of course. :)

Cause he was a dickhead I guess?

He made Listkeeper look like a model mod. He handed out unwarranted warnings, made bad situations worse, trolled in flame-proof rooms...

Just all in all about the worst choice for a mod.

And yet Volpone was canned in a week and I was never even asked.

WF is funny that way.

SpaceTurkey left because he warned Face for something and was overruled. He felt the rest of the staff should've backed him up. :cylon:

That's what happens when you let your mod/admin job merge with your fucking posting.

The sooner people of such inferior quality are extirpated from message boards, the better.
 
Spaceturkey was basically gunning for me. He was the model of a mod who shouldn't have any power. He would warn me monthly for avatars that were neither obscene nor naked. His definition for porn changed as often as I changed my av. Eventually he warned me, got me banned over the martial law shit and got overturned w/in hours. I imagine he waited anxiously for martial law and a slutty enough av.

interestingly the av he warned me for was in the competition me and elvital had. It was the first av I posted.
