Star Trek 12 news/countdown thread

Did Khan have the ULTIMATE GUN when he transported to "Kronos" or did he just find it lying about somewhere?

The video of him pottering about the blown up bit of London he had a big bag with him, so it could've been in there.

Nice clip. The other clips they had after it played were also interesting, especially "What's wrong with Star Trek Into Darkness -- funny.

Millennium Falcon? Reminded me more of a horseshoe crap, and the new Klingon ships took a page out of silverfish. Still, I love thi franchise and will enjoy watching it when it comes to a t.v. near me.

P.S. They rehashed a lot of former Trek movies. Almost like channeling Kirk/Spock duo.

Just watched the bluray of into darkness, no deleted scenes or gag real.

AAAAAAbrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmsssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It seems like blu rays are pretty crap for extra content compared to DVDs from ten years ago? (I don't own a blu ray player but I keep hearing stuff like this.)

They didn't used to be, until someone realises if you split different extras onto different versions of the film and put them in different shops, those completists who have to have everything will buy one from each shop.

Why is Bob Orci such an umabiguous boohat?

STID has infinetly [sic] more social commentary than Raiders in every Universe, and I say that with Harrison Ford being a friend. You lose credibility big time when you don’t honestly engage with the FUCKING WRITER OF THE MOVIE ASKING YOU AN HONEST QUESTION. You prove the cliche of shitty fans. And rude in the process. So, as Simon Pegg would say: FUCK OFF!

Ok, I finally got around to watching the new one, and I enjoyed it. I don't know all the history of ST since I only watched The Next Generation, a little of Deep Space Nine, and Enterprise, but I've always liked the movies (well, most of them), and I liked this one as well. To me, it was harmless fluff.

But is that Kal Penn in the background of the scene when the tribble comes alive? And is that Chucky doing the computer voice in Marcus's ship?

Bob Orci's comment actually didn't seem so out of line in the context of the thread. The person he was talking to had made a criticism, he'd asked them to justify it and they'd dodged the question.

I still think he's a boo(tin foil)hat, though.

Also, I was in forbidden planet earlier and they have toys of the Vengeance (bleugh) and Klingon ships, as well as the Kelvin. Pity they were so plasticky as I might've picked up the kelvin.

I want to share in this thread since only YOU WOULD APPRECIATE IT

So most of you know (because I've said it in threads before I think, LoL) the dude who created the Klingon language was one of our supervisors for almost 15 years. He retired this year, and in the letter he sent out, he put "And I promised myself I wouldn't do this, but I must." And then went on to sign off his letter to the entire firm K'PLAH!

It was awesome.
