Star Trek Discovery

Will Tyler and the Klingon lady make a baby together and change the Klingons from plastic to LET'S PARTY?

I am loving these mirror universe episodes.

So far the mirror universe episodes are the first time this show has had any resemblance to, or connection to, Star Trek. Other than that it's basically been NuBSG with Mold Drive.

I want to know the story of how mirror Spock joined the Terran Empire even though his father was with the rebels, but still liked him enough to copy his facial hair.

Well Spock and his father wernt on speaking terms in journey to babel, and for all we know Sarek grew his beard after seeing Spock's.

I'd me more interested in how a terrain and a Vulcan married in the mirror universe

There’s nothing to say that Mirror Lorca is good (unless I missed something). Attempting to kill the Emperor doesn’t necessarily make you good. Maybe he’s just ambitious.

Of course there’s always the possibility that the USS Discovery’s Lorca is from the mirror universe like a lot of people had first assumed, in which case he does seem better than most (but still not that great a guy by our standards).

Even the light here is different.

I liked this episode. It’s good to see the internal conflict Michael’s having to keep the pretence of being evil (and of being at home with herself, I guess). The Tyler stuff is really good too, though I hope we don’t lose him as he’s been a good character.

Execution by transporter, it’s the 23rd century parallel to airlocking.

From next week’s previews it does look like they go to the Emperor’s palace.

They have records of the real Tyler, so maybe he really is still alive somewhere.

The thing is, even if he is alive it won’t be the same character with the same history with Michael.

Just the same as if the doctor is replaced by his mirror self he won’t be the same guy who’s been with Stamets so really what’s the point.

Unlike Voq I did not see this coming. Still they had to change the rules of all previous mirror universe episodes to pull it off

Yeah you'd think mirror universe humans being sensitive to light would have come up before.

The guy who plays Stamets always feels kind of weird to me? Like the way he talks. It's weird. Those scenes where there were two versions of him should have been better, but his weird talking style distracted me.

Michael eating a Saru was funny.

At 37 minutes long this has to have been the shortest episode of Star Trek ever (ANIMATED SERIES DOESN'T COUNT.)
