Stargate Universe

These three episodes should have been condesned a bit so we could have had the cliffhangers resolved before the end. I mean like half of this episode was people saying "OPEN THE DOORS" and exchanging prisoners in corridors. And Chloe's still pointless.

Also I didn't quite get what happened in the end. Did one of the bad guys turn good and TJ accidentally got shot in the crossfire? Or was he another guy? Or something.

AND WHAT ABOUT CHAIR GUY.

It was someone in army fatigues iirc, though I watched it straight after the England match and was really distracted, so my memory of it isn't too good.

It was some unimportant background guy named Rivers. They didn't even mention his first name and don't remember seeing or hearing about him before this episode.

I recon they had one of their guys shoot TJ, so you wouldn't hold it against the LA when they end up joining the crew next year, well at least the two with defined sympathetic characters, and not the moustache twirling bad guy leader.

Could someone write a synoposis of what happened in the scene with TJ was shot including listing which side all of the involved characters were on, because I still have no idea.

Bad guy we had never seen before tried to move army guy we had never seen before, army guy grabbed hold of bad guys machine gun, and as they tussled they sprayed the room, hitting some more bad guys we had never been before, narrowly missing sympaphetic bad guys who will probably be part of the team next year, and hitting TJ in the stomach, in a handy getting rid of a need to hire baby actors next year sort of way.

Army guy got shot too, I forget who did the deed.

I think army guy might have just come out from having treatment with TJ, which is why he wasnt with the rest of them.

If random bullets from random redshirt relieves us of having to endure yet another screeching birth giving scene, it was worth it.

Well they're only the bad guys because they're in the LA. Maybe some of them have a heart of gold!

I agree with whoever predicted that the surviving LA people will join the crew. The hot leader will die, and hopefully LDP's character is dead.

Quite honestly I'm not sure it would be a bad thing if one of the LC goons took over "command" of the ship from Young. He's currently got the blood of at least one dead red shirt and (probably) his own baby on his hands. Jack already laid the blame for the situation on Young even before people started getting killed. I'm not sure what he could possibly do to redeem himself at this point.

It is too bad he has acted so incompetently in the last 3 episodes, as I actually liked his character.

The smart thing to do would have been to vent the atmosphere before the gate was dialed, then see if Rush/LaBamba could have been resussiatated, even if not its just one guy, compared to the whole ship and the rest of the crew.

Young could never could do that, it makes far too much sense. I'm seriously beginning to wonder how he was ever put in command of Icarus base.

2x01

I probably should've rewatched the previous episode to get back into the swing of things, but it was a reasonable opening for the season. The most interesting thing for me was the stuff with TJ and Caine. The nebula thing turning up at the end took away the possibility that TJ had just dreamt everything, but it's more interesting if it's for real anyway. I still think Caine is one of the aliens. He's just way too cool for school.

The combining of the crews should be interesting... kind of like Starfleet/Maquis thing, eh? They can't be kept in the brig forever. Maybe aliens will board and the two crews will have to work together to fend them off.

Interesting lightly spoilerish stuff in this link:

People on IMDb think that everyone on that planet is dead, now including the baby.

Maybe. I don't think any theories can be dismissed at this point.
