Those space Mormons!

The stuff with Amos talking to the scientist was really good. All of the character stuff was good actually, except the Martian marine stuff. I've just never found that kind of "RARR WE'RE SPACE MARINES WE'RE GOING TO KILL THINGS AND FIGHT EACH OTHER" stuff all that interesting?
 
I'm really glad they're giving Amos more personality this season! He was really good.

I still like the Australian Martian!
 
Not to be racist but,,,,Are the Belters meant to be Jamaicans? Because that's how their language sounds.
 
Nick Farmer used to tweet about the language during the first season, but I haven't seen him tweet anything for awhile.
 
The Mormons are gonna be pissed!

I feel like we haven't mentioned enough how good the special effects are. This is a really good looking tv show! People should like appreciate how much money is being spent on it and actually watch it so it gets a third season (it has really low ratings.)

They seem to have given up censoring the fucks!
 
The Nauvoo launch was spectacular! Also, I love the statue thingy on the Nauvoo, AND ALSO did you know there is a real Nauvoo Temple?

So the purple crystal goo stuff just saved itself from being launched into the sun. IT'S ALIVE.
 
I thought it was great! The scene with Miller and Julie was the best scene they've done.

So next week we start book two at last, halfway through season two.
 
SHIT! They crashed into Venus! That was really great, I should have known Miller would join Julie as soon as I saw her, but I didn't.

Oh it was a good episode, definitely. I was just thinking while watching it that it must be really hard to follow for general audiences with no familiarity with the books.
 
I think they simplified it a bit from the book, because I seem to remember it took Miller longer to reach Julie. And I guess there was a time jump before Eros crashed into Venus because realistically it would have taken months? (I haven't actually looked into it though.)
