The Expanse season 2

I think Drummer comes off as kind of robotic both in voice and acting in this show, but the actress has a pretty nice smile when she feels like it. Apparently.

Why are all the torrent sites down or being weird IT'S ANNOYING (I found it anyway.)

It was good how even though it was an episode with a lot of talking it wans't boring at all because the characters and writing are good!

Hey there was a point to that Martian marine being from Earth after all so that kind of made up for those scenes being a bit annoying in previous episodes.

Alex made lasagne!
 
I bet Alex makes the best space lasagna.

I agree about this episode being really good. It was intense and it was good to see their faces when they realized what Bobbie was saying! They all know the proto molecule has infected more than Venus!
 
Lots of good world-building in this episode with Prax explaining how Ganymede works and Bobbie's trip to the ocean. We haven't ever seen street level stuff on Earth before. Alex in zero gee was a nice slow scene of the type the show does well. It didn't need to be in there but it makes the show more likable and real? Or something.

Errinwright confessing everything was a nice development and made sense since Mao left him in at the deep end and he's probably not down with loads of people getting killed. Makes the character more interesting that he's not out and out evil.

That guy sure liked chicken!
 
Yeah, I like it when people who do bad things aren't written as evil, because most people who do bad dumb shit aren't evil.

BOBBIE MADE IT TO THE OCEAN.
 
Another strong episode! Bobbie beating the jerkface up was very satisfying (and she looks really good with her hair down.) All the stories were progressed quite a bit as we near the end of the season.

Secret references only book readers get: Clarissa Mao mentioned by name. Naomi admits she had a son.

Bobbie's bun is hot.

I HOPE THEY DON'T STAY SPLIT APART FOR VERY LONG.
 
The Bobbie-Martens beatdown was pretty awesome, and her character arc in general. Somewhat different than it played out in the book, but enjoyable. Very enjoyable. Go Team Avasarala.

Somehow, the Rocinante crew are coming off like a bunch of boobs, except for Amos. I think their adventures on Ganymede (right down to "D'ya want some pizza???") are tracking pretty well with the book, but something seems off there. But no matter, the remaining episodes should be pretty excellent.

I watched the first couple of season two then decided to binge watch both seasons once this one finishes. It's such an immersive, well crafted world I don't want to wait in between episodes.
 
I'm reading Nemesis Games at the moment (book 5 I think). Can't tell yet if this is any good, but Cibola Burn was pretty bad. It was interesting seeing them setting up a colony, but the bad guy was lame. He may as well have just said "well, the book needed a villain, so here I am! Being villainous!"

The idea of someone who'd follow rules to the point where they'd get him killed was something worth exploring, but they didn't really explain why he was so dedicated to begin with.

And all the other setbacks and disasters were piled on too much.
 
I literally can't remember anything about Cibola Burn. I remember I liked the one with Clarissa in it more because I liked her character, but I keep getting 3 and 4 confused in my head.

Trying to be vague, but Nemesis Games certainly has some huge events that would be hard to pull off on tv...

OMG, Errinwright. I liked how they made it look like he was about to kill himself but NOPE he had an evil master plan.

Bobbie eating all the cucumber sandwiches ruled.

It was surprisingly sad when "the big guy" sacrificed himself, consindering he was only in one episode. I liked when he chokeslammed the rioter.

SEASON FINALE NEXT WEEK.
