The Walking Dead season 5

What if they ironically cut off and cooked the leg that was scratched by the walker in the flooded basement? Would they still be infected, or does that stuff cook out?

Once bitten, twice shy. I think the hunters are about to find out the hard way that they should've stuck to squirrels.

Why did Rick insist Gabriel come down with them into the water anyway? It was obvious he'd end up in trouble.

Like Donovan says, just doesn't trust him. I bet Rick was expecting Gabriel to pull something while they were downstairs, or pull a gun and mow them all down, or something. A priest with an Uzi firing an entire clip into a party of survivors is probably a pretty vivid image in his mind.

We were discussing Gabriel and what he did after this Sunday's episode, and my wife and I agree that he locked the doors on his congregation - the food drive complete, and everyone out of the building, he locked the doors and didn't let anyone in despite their begging and pleading. Thus, he's an asshole.

I don't understand why Tyreese kept telling Carol to tell Rick what she did at the prison. He already knows and he's the one who sent her packing, no?

Carol is gonna die within the next few episodes. Calling it now. Don't know if they will find a way to work her comic death into it but it feels right for tv to have her gone. Especially if you consider her purpose was to grow (she did that) and show Rick a valuable lesson (she did that). With Beth now old enough to do love stuff with Daryl and not look creepy, Carol is dead weight.

I'm guessing he will have Morgan or someone new with him. Along with Carol croaking next episode I expect he will have a part to play. Doesn't make sense for him to interact with the short bus people because he dodoesn't know them. But he knows Rick.

And you should read the comic. It's fantastic and solid storytelling, and is different enough from the show that you won't be bored or spoiled. I knew there was a possibility Bob would do Tainted Meat, but right up until I saw his leg off I wasn't sure. It's a different animal, with a lot of serves they can't recreate on film. For example, Rick should be saving quite a bit of money on gloves by this point in the story.
