I'm not debating you because you presented nothing that could be debated. For once, you responded to a call for evidence on my part with evidence that actually does back one of your claims. In a debate between us, that's a first on your part.

It may be the first time that you've accepted that I've beat you, but it's not the first time. I recall a discussion of health care and immigration, in particular, where I presented statistics proving that the U.S. healthcare system is inferior to socialized systems and debunked your claims about the number of illegal immigrants in the U.S, and you just refused to acknowledge that you were wrong. I've been citing proof for as long as I've been posting on TK. The difference in this thread is that you're finally willing to admit that I'm right.

In the second, you cite the U.S. Census Bureau, which maintains that the Mexican immigrant population in the United States more than doubled between 1990 and 2000, increasing from 4.3 million to 9.2 million. source. That's not a debunking on your part, that's just throwing a citation out there that doesn't say what you claim it does, which (as I said previously) has been par for your course when you can be bothered to cite sources at all.

Try reading the thread, my dear. When I mentioned that 45 million people didn't have health insurance, you said that there were "45 million people too many." I used the census data to demonstrate that there were only 9 million illegal immigrants in the U.S., not 45 million. As per usual, you refused to acknowldeged your false, uninformed statements, and started editing your posts to cover for yourself. Now, if you want to stop squirming and prevaricating as you have in the past and start acknowledgeing that I'm right as you have in this thread, I think that's a very positive development.

I'm only going to acknowledge that you're right when you actually are right. That's happened once so far. But you've unwisely refused to heed my advice and avoid stroking your own ego over it, which makes it less and less likely that I'll be inclined to acknowledge it again even under the rare circumstance in which it might occur.

You have provided no evidence that I don't provide evidence. I, on the other hand, have provided ample evidence that I do provide evidence by linking to half a dozen of my posts. That about sums it up.
 
You still don't seem to grasp that your "evidence" actually has to support your claim in order for it to be worth anything. And I've shown, more than once, your habit of lazily throwing citations about that fail to meet that criterion. You can shut up any time now. :)

I'm sure you wish that were true, but it's simply a fact that I proved you wrong about the number of illegal immigrants in the U.S. As usual, you're trying to weasle out of the facts by making personal attacks unsupported by evidence.

But really, I do feel sorry for you. You wish you were intelligent and highly educated, but you're just too fuzzy headed to pull it off. It must be very hard for you to lose arguments to somebody like me who has all the qualities you wish you had.

He also assumed I said there were 45 million too many illegal aliens who couldn't get health care, when I said there were, "45 million too many." I did not say 45 million too many of what.

Wordin likes to think he's debating me, but in reality, he's just not reading what I post carefully enough.
