There are 8 total, and 6 have aired so far. The 6th one was called Haunted Houses. THEY'RE SO GOOD, OMG.
Srsly, I never expected to like this TV show so much... mainly because Matthew McConaughey hasn't ever been my favorite actor, but he is fantastic in this. This makes me want him to do more TV, but this show is probably a once in a lifetime thing.
I used to hear "Matthew McCon-" and switch channels. Now I actually look out for him. It's amazing how much good writing can change your perception of someone.
Jesus, he's everywhere now. Just as I typed this there was an ad on TV featuring him.
Last night's was so detail heavy that I think it MIGHT have been better if they let all that stuff play out over two episodes.
Okay, now I'm think Marty's daughter was the only red herring in this show... OR they just haven't told us what really happened to her yet, but if it has nothing to do with the case then RED HERRING.
It felt a bit flat at the start just because Rust and Marty felt so old and tired. That was probably the point though? It is intersting how they keep mentioning things about Audrey that make you think she was molested or something, but it could just be all a result of Marty's fuck-up parenting.
Maybe she was. Not that it really needs to get more personal since Marty's already motivated. Funny that her sister is the crazy girl in TWD. Maybe the Yellow King operated in Georgia too.
It's interesting reading the book at the same time as the show. The plot is vastly different, so there aren't spoilers as such, but the man with the scars and false ears shows up, as do several other details.
